L’Art de Vivre — an evening for the senses.

A memorable evening at Kanaal by Axel Vervoordt, bringing together design, architecture, art, craftsmanship and inspiring materials.

Together with @basalte.be, @supermodular @orac_benelux and @cosentinobelgium, we explored L’Art de Vivre through all the senses — from the architecture and exhibitions to the textures, sounds, flavours and conversations that shaped the evening.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such an inspiring evening.

A special thank you to @lesfetesdecoco for bringing it all together.

CEREMONY SETUPS WE LOVE

Most couples focus on the venue.

Few realise how much impact the ceremony setup has.

A classic aisle.
A semi-circle.
A full circle.
A modern catwalk.

Each creates a completely different atmosphere for both you and your guests.

Swipe through some of our favourite ceremony styles and discover which one feels most like you.

Which setup would you choose?

We hosted an exclusive evening @wijndomeinnobel - together with @basalte.be @supermodular and @cosentinobelgium - bringing together people who shape beautiful spaces.

Good wine, good company and a seated dinner between the vines as the sun went down. The kind of evening where you lose track of time - and that’s exactly the point.

Grateful for the connections made and the people around that table. 🥂

Wedding tables are about far more than aesthetics.

They shape conversation.
Movement.
Atmosphere.
And the way your guests experience the celebration.

One of the first things couples often overlook when planning their wedding design is how strongly table layouts influence the feeling of the entire evening.

Round tables create intimacy and connection.
Guests naturally interact more easily, creating a warm and social atmosphere throughout dinner.

Long tables feel elegant, timeless and visually powerful.
They also simplify seating arrangements for larger groups and create a beautiful sense of togetherness.

Organic table layouts bring a softer and more immersive energy.
Less structured, more layered and often ideal for weddings that want to feel relaxed, atmospheric and
slightly unexpected.

But beyond the shape itself, the details matter just as much.

A few things worth thinking about:

• Avoid florals that completely block visibility between guests
• Make sure candles feel safe and stable throughout dinner service
• Leave enough space for glassware, menus and movement
• Think about place cards and layered textures early in the design process
• Remember that catering teams also need practical flow around the tables

The most beautiful wedding tables are not only visually stunning.

They make guests feel comfortable, connected and fully immersed in the atmosphere of the evening ✨

THE MARILOU MOOD 🤍

Current wedding obsession:

love stories.
intimate celebrations.
beautiful details.
moments that feel like forever.

The weddings we keep coming back to aren’t defined by trends or perfection.

They’re filled with meaningful moments, genuine connection and an atmosphere that lingers long after the day is over.

Because the most beautiful weddings aren’t about how they look.

They’re about how they feel.

“We don’t think we need a wedding planner.
We’re both very organised people.”

It’s something we hear so often from engaged couples.

And honestly?
Being organised absolutely helps when planning a wedding.

But organising a wedding and managing a wedding day are two completely different things.

Because behind every smooth wedding celebration are hundreds of moving parts most couples never even think about:

Who is guiding the vendors throughout the day?
Who communicates timing changes to the caterer?
Who cues the live music before your ceremony entrance?
Who moves the ceremony flowers to dinner afterwards?
Who knows where the DJ should set up?
Who manages the timeline when things run late?
Who packs up your candles, menus and personal decor at 3AM?

A wedding planner is not there because couples “can’t organise things themselves”.

They are there because weddings require experience, logistical insight, problem-solving and coordination under pressure in ways most people only realise once the day arrives.

And trust us:
this is one investment couples rarely regret ✨

For weddings that don’t just look beautiful,
but also feel effortless.
