Drop a @ name of a woman who needs to see this. 🐈‍⬛🐈
To every #woman lying in bed with a creature because the world feels too f()cked up to comprehend today: #HappyWomensDay.
If today your celebration looks like hiding under a blanket with a creature and ignoring the news for a while… that counts.
#RestIsResistance too.
Love to all #women surviving everywhere in this deranged timeline and to those who don’t have time to rest because they’re fighting for their existence. You’re seen. You matter. 💜

Today is the Day 9/9/2025
“The 25th anniversary release of #ClearHeartGreyFlowers would not be complete without honoring Scott.
Paying tribute to our dear friend and bandmate, the late #ScottMitchellPutesky. Many knew him as #DaisyBerkowitz, but to us, he was simply SMP.
These 5 tracks include Scott’s final performances with #JackOffJill, recorded live in Asheville, North Carolina, and at his last ever show in London. produced by @mrrobbyboy Ron Campanella
These tracks appear on both #CHGF 25th anniversary CD and LP, and for the first time are now available on most streaming platforms. This is my way of celebrating Scott’s enduring legacy: His unmistakable guitar sound. His brilliant songwriting.
His sharp sense of humor.
And the unforgettable energy he brought to every stage.
Scott’s sound shaped so many bands, and his spirit continues to inspire so many.
Wish you were here, SMP.
Forever in our hearts.
RIP Scott Mitchell Putesky” @jessickaaddams
Please give these live tracks a listen, remember Scott’s legacy and let us know what you think and how they made you feel.

Here we go again !
Happy Hour Oysters at The Common Restaurant. 4-6,
50cents each ,these are the James River oysters from Virginia .
The General Manager ,Michael is delightful and he treated us like old friends ..check the screen behind him in the photo .
We had reservations for Happy Hour at the bar and dinner upstairs at 6:00. It was very busy but still seemed cozy .
A talented piano player and singer setting the mood was perfect .
Great food ! I had the Club sandwich on grilled country bread pilled high with pulled pork and brisket ,it was amazing ! I ate 1/4 and took a doggie bag home .
The best part of the evening was spending it with my longtime friend from Atlanta days ,Lesley Daunt ..catching up ,laughing memories and talking about our future ..Lesley is one of the most talented people I know ,she's an amazing artist ,musician ,songwriter and singer and mother ,wife and friend .
We had a blast . It was a wonderful evening !

Love the amount of good memories made by so many people inside the GA Theatre over the decades and the crowds in Athens always show up ready to have fun. What a steady asset the Theatre has been for musicians as a place in our state to grow and strive. Many of us played here or got inspired by bands we idolized and got to wide-eyed witness here when we were kids, 20 or 30 (or in my case a little more like 35!) years ago. Thanks to @yrschooner for bringing me in again on percussion tonight and to @wireguyatl for always making the band sound large and in charge. Good time achieved.

After seeing it shrouded for weeks I saw the John Lewis statue for the first time recently. It’s fittingly entitled “Empathy” by the artist and this was a flag at half mast type of morning; the day after the recent school shooting and therefore extra poignant and breath robbing as I rounded the corner in the late Summer sunshine and time just moved forward on the Square. Several others were wordlessly visiting the statue in the shade. Birds chirped. A kid played “let it be” for change in the distance. A baby fusses. Some statue goers were there revering. Some somber. Many like myself, as if seeking counsel with our own grasped Hearts.
