Finally getting around to posting the adventure that was NYCC ‘26. It was an odd year, but it was also full of friends, laughter Mashables, Muppets, good food and drink.

Finally getting my haul and other pics posted from NYCC! I went up to NY with the book from Joe Rohde to get signed and came back with 4 signed books, a Disney history book and an advent romance! My additional autographs that didn’t include a selfie were from Tom Welling, Ken Jeong, Nicolas Cage and Wayne Knight. I added a bunch of new stickers to my book and bought way too many pins! Had a good HR haul, picked up a couple small pieces of art and a Tiny Chef keychain to go with my signed poster!

Most importantly, we had drinks/dinner with friends four of the nights we were there!

Finally sharing my photo dump from our New York Comic Con trip! We started by seeing Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody (highly recommend) on Wednesday night. As usual my con was filled with celebrity autographs and selfies, I’ll share the other autographs I got in my product haul post! Photos 2- Skeet Ulrich, 3- Jamie Kennedy, 4- Matthew Lillard, 5- Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde, 6- Tiny Chef, 11- Joseph Mazzello (1995 & 2026!), 12- Ariana Richards, 13- BD Wong, 14- Christian Slater and 15- Carrie-Anne Moss! In between those autographs, I got to meet Tiny Chef, visit the Dun Dun Diner pop-up and catch a panel with the co-creators and voice of Tiny Chef! We ended the trip with “A Night of Heated Rivalry: A Celebration with Jacob Tierney” at Brooklyn Paramount! All in all, a great and exhausting trip! 🫩

On Friday, I attended the Wolf Trap Ball for the 11th time! The ball raises money for the Wolf Trap Foundation’s arts and community programs. Enjoy my photo from Friday night, the theme this year was The Rhythm of New Orleans, so my normal color of purple fit right in! Also enjoy photos from 2014, 2016-2019, 2021-2025! #wolftrapball

Had an amazing time last night at Heated Rivalry Night at Fenway! It was awesome to be around 12,000 other Loons! As the bartender said when we got our coveted cooler cups, “You guys are f&@!ing crazy!” Shoutout to @legallybooks for the awesome bookmark replica ticket and the lady passing out teeny loons! #heatedrivalry #heatedrivalrynight

Baseball Roadtrip 2026 Photo Dump Part 4! Our last full day of our roadtrip we drove to Philadelphia and went to a 4pm game. I enjoyed Citizens Bank Park and the Phanatic. Had to get a cheesesteak in Philly, at least a chicken one! And got a cute Phanatic ice cream helmet! Leslie went all out and got the Schwarbomb Sundae (funnel-cake-fried Uncrustable, ice cream and fruity pebbles)!

It was a good end to our roadtrip- especially since the Phillies lost! We have a lot of ballparks left to visit, so we’ll have to figure out where to go next year!

Baseball Roadtrip 2026 Photo Dump Part 3! Days 5-6 we stopped in New York City and visited Yankee Stadium. After arriving, we took a walk on The High Line before heading to dinner at Palladino’s in Grand Central Station.

We started the next day with brunch and a visit to The Statue of Liberty. You can see a couple of the statues in Battery Park and a timeless and perfect quote from President Kennedy. We got tickets to access the pedestal and Renee, Leslie and I climbed the 215 steps up. You get some awesome angles of the Statue and cool insight into the construction and innards of the statue on the way up. We visited the museum after and I got a pic with a life size replica of Lady Liberty’s foot and shot of the original torch!

Then we headed to Yankee Stadium! We have been before, so it’s not a new stadium, but they were playing the Red Sox, so we had to visit. I started the evening with the Mini Dessert “Chicken” Bucket (all ice cream, corn flakes and a pretzel “bone”)! We also found awesome seats behind home plate with tables in between them! The outcome wasn’t what we wanted, but it was a great night!

Baseball Roadtrip 2026 Photo Dump Part 2! Days 3-4 we visited Boston and Fenway Park! We did a tour of the pre-game tour of the park and got to enjoy that and the game with our cousin. We stayed at Hotel Commonwealth, which is just across I-90 from Fenway and even has a themed elevator with lots of autographs.

On our second day, we visited the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Beautiful building and courtyard and a wonderful collection! I appreciate that they have empty frames for the art that was stolen and is still missing from an infamous heist in 1990! We ended the day with dinner at Carmelina’s in the North End!

A food roundup to close things out. The large photo is the Lobstah Poutine that Renee and Leslie both enjoyed at Fenway (with one for each of them!) and my loaded fries with chicken. We had brunch at The Friendly Toast the next morning, you can see my mimosa flight here. The only wine I like is Moscato d’asti, so I had a half bottle at Carmelina’s. And finally a pic of my Penne Gorgonzola. The portions were huge, so I do recommend sharing if you visit!

Baseball Roadtrip 2026 Photo Dump Part 1! Days 1-2 we visited Cooperstown and The National Baseball Hall of Fame! We stayed at The Otesaga Resort right near Main Street!

At the Hall, I highly recommend doing the Private Collection Showcase Tour! We got to see a jersey from the 1905 NY Giants pitcher Christy Mathewson, hold Lou Gerhig’s bat from the 1937 All Star Game, see Hank Aaron’s 1972 jersey, the first pitch thrown in Nationals history and Stephen Strasburg’s hat from his 14K debut game!

You can see the signed frames for the three new inductees for 2026 (Jeff Kent, Carlos Beltran and Andruw Jones)! And many other artifacts and exhibits! We spent several hours in the museum before and after our tour! Definite must for any baseball or sports fan!

Let’s talk about BookCon- It was awesome and crazy and fun all put together! I’m used to comic cons, so the crowds didn’t faze me, but I can see how it may have been off-putting to some attendees.
Here’s my weekend round up-
Pics 2-3) We started Friday evening seeing Chess and I was happy to donate to BCEFA to get a signed Playbill.
Pics 4-5) BookCon started on a high note with the panel- “Game Changing TV: Celebrating Heated Rivalry” with Rachel Reid and Jacob Tierney! And then I was super lucky to get a reservation to get Rachel’s autograph!
Pic 6) @my_nuimos_and_me got one pic over the weekend. 😬
Pic 7) I was able to get a few other author autographs, including from Jasmine Guillory!
Pic 8) Sister time at BookCon!
Pics 9-11) My books from the weekend- ones I bought, ones I bought to get signed and ones I brought with me to get signed!
Pics 12-14) My @thecolorfulgeek haul from the weekend! Pretty much all HR themed! Love her stuff!
Pics 15-19) The rest of my haul, including lots of stickers and a few pins!
