So honored and grateful for Win from Within Foundation first board meeting. Each one of these people brings something special to the table and with the same goal in mind to see lives changed by the power of Jesus Christ!

FORTY-FIVE, and I’ve never loved life more!

It has little to do with growing older and everything to do with just growing. I used to think I’d have life all figured out by now — like there was some mountaintop moment we were all climbing toward. But the big lie is that once you reach the top, it’s all downhill from there.

The life I’ve lived so far has served me beautifully. I’ve raised kids, lived the mama dream, and endured things I once thought would break me. In every season, I’ve learned how to do that part of life with God.

One great lessons I’ve learned is this: showing myself grace is the key to loving others well. I’ve never lived today before, been 45 before, had adult “kids” before. Why would I assume I know how to do this? Becoming more curious in life, about life, EVERYDAY life! This looks like doing life with God- walking it out with the very one that created life itself. The more I value the unique way God is expressing Himself in my life, the more confident and equipped I am to share Him — as only I can. (And friend, the same is true for you.)

So this year, I threw myself a party — with my family’s full support! It wasn’t just a celebration of a birthday; it was a beautiful celebration of the completion of one dream and a wide-open welcome party for the next one.

Here’s to growing, becoming, and embracing every new adventure with God and the people He’s giving us to make it better.

So. Yeah. I love teaching. I love sharing the love I’ve accepted from Jesus with others. I love encouraging others to really see themselves the way God sees them. I love speaking life and hope into others. I’ve recently let myself get lost and quieted by circumstances. BUT, today - today was 🤎- it was a BIG “Remember who you are and who I’ve created you to be” day for me. Thankful for the privilege to share my heart alongside my favorite human ever. We still make a great team, if I do say so myself (only pic I got while we were there 😬)💃🏽. #samandnik #themckerns #localchurchgirl #jeusisfaithful

This moment is a culmination of many hours of doubt and fear and ultimately I owe this release to several friends who helped me edit, inspired me, listened to my fears and pushed me anyway. Surround yourself with people who make you face what you’re running away from. You won’t regret it. Ebook out now! Stay tuned for my printed book lovers!

Loss brings people together.
This fine group of people have a long list of history and stories together. We worshipped our guys out, led worship, did dramas, traveled in church vans, led events. preached messages , and were marked by Jesus together.
It was so good to reconnect and see where they are in life and to see their beautiful faces in the same place.
I love you guys deeply and my heart is filled memories and moments with you. Proud to know you.

Thinking about this incredible team this morning! So grateful for all their hard work. When we planted Overflow 8 years ago we had no idea how amazing and critical this team would be for our identity as a church. I love and honor all of our Pastors!
I love you guys!

Within a month, two different men prophesied over me that I would bear more children, and the curse that came against me would never happen again. I’d never had something so specific and ACCURATE spoken over my life. When I found out I was pregnant in May 2012, my promise was fulfilled.
⁣
But that vile word never left my mind. I know; I shouldn’t have lacked faith, but miscarriage entered my world, and it never walked away. Fear was present with that pregnancy AND the next. However, God’s promise was true.
⁣
30 years old, healthy, family of six.
⁣
Six years later:
⁣
I wish I could tell you miscarriage isn’t a word that crosses my mind anymore, but I’d be lying. I think of it every time I see twins. I think about it every time someone tells me they are pregnant. I think about it every April when another heavenly birthday rolls around. I sometimes feel like someone is missing when our whole family is already in the room. My heart will never forget.
⁣
However, my life has become stronger in the midst of pain. Opening up with my story has allowed women who privately carried their burden of loss for decades to lift the heavyweight and find some peace time and time again. I pray for any and every woman who wants to get pregnant or has experienced loss. Why? Because God gave me a gift. He gave me a promise. He gave me a sword to teardown curses. And I will share that gift until my last breath when I finally walk into the presence of Jesus and hold my babies for the very first time outside of the womb.
