Congratulations to Sammy and Will on their beautiful wedding!
Sammy looked absolutely stunning at The Pierre wearing our Penelope earrings and Lilly Floral Diamond Bracelet, the perfect finishing touches to her timeless bridal look. It was even more special to celebrate alongside her mom, who wore our Brooke Drop Earrings and Izzy Diamond Bracelet for the occasion. We loved being a small part of such an unforgettable day and wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.

“From our first note there, you could tell we were in a sacred place right away. In some ways, it is a church, not a studio. And that inevitably shaped the way that we played the music.”- Willy Rodriguez on recording at Van Gelder Studio

Gone too soon, but life doesn't wait for anyone and all of us who knew John also knew that he did not wait for life either and had it grabbed by its balls so for he lived life brilliantly and to the fullest! Yesterday's memorial and new cd release was a true celebration of life and exactly what he would had wanted from all of us, his NYC family. May you RIP our beautiful brother/inspiration/life-maestro! Your amazing voice and talents will linger with us for a long long time as you have left behind a true artistic legacy to the jazz world. Always respected and truly loved by everyone!

When you're in a Christ-centered relationship with a man:
-He will know your worth; you will not need to convince him who you are.
-His words and actions will reflect his feelings; you will not wonder how he feels about you.
-He will be clear, consistent, and intentional; you will not feel confused.
-He will know and revere your dignity; you will not compromise your beliefs to make him comfortable.
-His movement will be toward the Lord and you (He won't let you get away!); you will not have to compete or chase.
-He will be mature and grounded. You will not have to entertain or work to keep him interested.
-You will feel free, relaxed, and confident; you will not feel pressured, overwhelmed, or indecisive.
-You will be fully yourself! He will not think you're "too much."
-He will add peace and ease to your life; you will not feel anxious.
-You will trust him to your core; you will not question his loyalty.
-He will prioritize Christ and live out his faith alongside you; your faith will not intimidate him.

If we want a Christ-centered family, we need a spouse who prioritizes the Lord above all. I half-jokingly say: "to Jackie, through Jesus," meaning, if you want to pursue a relationship with me, you must first seek one with the Lord. It takes three to get married (husband, wife, and Christ); He has to be at the center from the beginning. If our goal in marriage is to get one another to heaven, we have to be on the path individually and together.

To the men reading this: We need you and are rooting for you! In this broken and confused world, we desire to live out our femininity and support your innate masculinity. We desire healthy men of Christ to lead us and protect us. We know you're yearning to live out your purpose and vocation, and we want to do that with you through Christ.

To single women: the Lord knows who and what you need (He created your heart, after all) and is preparing you and your future spouse for the perfect time, in His perfect way. We have a big role to play and responsibility to take, too. For now, let’s increase our trust in Jesus, live virtuously, and avoid leaping ahead of grace. (Part II on upholding our role coming next.)

These past 3 weeks have been a whirlwind for me. A whipping tornado tearing through lists of things to do and leaving behind a debris of pieces that won't be tended to until next year. Does anyone else feel this way? Does this happen to you during the holidays?

I almost reached my limit just yesterday when nothing I planned went right. I was losing my composure and felt I was being tested. I literally asked the universe "Are you testing me right now? Am I failing this test?"

So instead of grimacing and complaining through the rest of my day, I stopped to notice my behavior and current outlook. I closed my eyes, took 10 deep breaths and refocused my attention to what truly is important - my health, the warmth and love of my family and friends, and most importantly the ability and choice to turn my perspective around. I later had a session with my amazing dance teacher @geniusdance and it all melted away. I still had so much on my plate but knew that huffing and puffing my way through was not helping anyone especially those that I surrounded myself with. Bringing awareness to forefront, regulating my emotions and shifting my perspective changed everything.⚡️

If you've found yourself in a similar situation, take a pause, breathe, re-center, and remind yourself of all that you have in your life. We have the choice to change our perspective and it only takes a few moments and several deep breaths (+ as many times as necessary throughout the day 😉). ✨

Despite all that you have to do during the holidays, embrace the beauty in each moment. 💫

Sending you and your loved ones so much love and light this holiday season and always.⭐️
