Today is yes, 250 years of America being a country. I can’t find it in my soul to say it’s a *happy* Fourth of July, but I can say I’m happy to share my life with the people and animals I have in it (or have had in it). Today
@castro.3__ and his family made my heart so full after worrying about this day coming as last year Coco and Charlie both shared this holiday together. But my America is something I’m proud of. Something I’ve dived deep on and seen beautiful things, tragic things and grieved them deeply, moments where I’ve been moved by cultures and traditions. Moments where I’m eternally proud 🥹 of my parents singularly and together. America 🇺🇸 for me is so much more than a tacky celebration it’s rooted in the history and people and pets that make this country so great. And even though I would rather not dwell on the lack of patriotism I have at this moment I want to highlight these beautiful moments that stick out to me as my America 💕🏳️‍🌈🇪🇸🇲🇽

Left @childrenscancerconnection this week feeling so fulfilled. Having the role as a leader in training on the oncology side was so eye opening and such an amazing privilege. Four years ago, I walked into dance, marathon, not fully understanding how deeply it would change me. I thought I was signing up for an event. I didn’t realize I was stepping into a family, a purpose, and a love that would shape who I am forever.

In DM32, I danced for the kids, ran for the kids, and raised $10,688 all for this kids. But more than that I have cried with them, laughed with them, fought for them, and been forever inspired by their strength. They taught me what courage really looks like and taught me that even in the hardest battles, joy can still exist.

As I graduate, it’s hard to put into words what it feels like to step away from something that has meant so much to me for so long. Dance marathon didn’t just fill four years of my life. It changed my heart forever.

To the kids and families, thank you for letting me a small part of your story. You have and will continue to inspire me to be a better version of myself.

To my wonderful FRamily, thank you for the tears, stress, laughter, endless memories, and unwavering belief in this mission. Serving alongside each of you has been one of the greatest privileges of my college career. I am so proud of what we have built together and will be forever grateful I got to spend my last year with you all.

For The Kids. Always.
