Dancing my way into week 3 of my 300hrs YTT 💃🏼

This week will be a different, my heart has been broken wide open & my Anahata Chakra is glowing green thanks to these beautiful yogis but some completed their studies & left me behind 🥲

I miss my dancing partners so much already and it’s only been a day. Been crying happy tears all day for how lucky I have been to find them in the first place.

Glad not sad.

I hope you all find your people who make you as glowy Green as me 💚

Stereotypes are great when it’s a bunch of yoga teachers coming together in Bali to learn, to transform, grow and love. 🤍🪷 Because all the wonderful cheesy things you’ve ever heard about yoga teachers trainings in Bali are true.

Bali once again turned me inside out and created an awakening. And none of it would have been possible without the wonderful teachers around me. All my gratitude is to them, our loving group. Thank you for sharing your heart, passion and energy 🙏

I can’t wait to bring all I’ve learned to my classes ✨

Last night was big for me as an aspiring Poster Designer. When @cjlgva approached me to help make his poster for “Dry January” I had no idea I’d actually be featured by name on the poster AND in the credits of the short. It was an honor to be included with the rest of the cast and crew as someone who helped with this project. Having people come up to me that I’ve never met asking if I made the poster was truly surreal. Thank you to everyone who was there and to all of the cast and crew who were super kind to me! #DryJanuary #DancesWithFilms

“And you, and you, and you, and you were there!” What a full-body thrill to celebrate the New York premiere of DRY JANUARY with the cast, crew, friends, and loved ones in attendance for this sold out screening at the spectacular @danceswithfilms festival.

On set, you know what you’re making, but you don’t REALLY know what you’re making. It’s like a treasure hunt where everyone has a piece of the map and you’re traipsing through the dark with flashlights trying to find the treasure together. So to see the film shine on the big screen alongside the unbelievably talented folks who made it all come to life made me feel like I was watching the film for the first time - we FOUND the treasure, y’all!! And to see it with so many folks from various corners of my life made it all the sweeter: even high school pals (one of whom I haven’t seen *since* high school) came out to support! 🥹

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight. As I and the other filmmakers in this STELLAR block of midnight shorts can attest, filmmaking is hard. You often find yourself sitting in front of a blank laptop screen, or a nerve-jangling pitch meeting, or a labyrinthine shot list, or a tension-filled video village, or a blurry late-night Premiere Pro timeline, and you’re wondering “What the ever living fuck is this all for?” Well, nights like this is what it’s all for: to make cool shit with cool people and show it off to people you love and people you don’t know at all and hope it stirs a reaction. And when it does, it’s the best feeling in the world. I can’t wait to do it again.

Sooooo…. who’s down to make some cool shit with me? 😁

DRY JANUARY goes to weird and wild places - and our sensational actors did not miss a beat as they found themselves ***immersed*** in the icky-sticky world of this horror comedy.

Come see this fabulous trio - @akanksha.tv @letitbezak @ikaika.ehrlich - in action at the NY premiere of DRY JANUARY at @danceswithfilms , Jan 16, 9:15pm @ Regal Union Square. Pre-sale tix sold out - rush tix available at the door!
