Vibes were good out there today 🤙🏾

First day of fall and already feeling some relief. Even got a little rain shower when I got home. Looking forward to things cooling down a bit in the weeks to come and the fishing to only get better.

@gregoryrobertm summer tour. Bob came up three separate times, and each time we were challenged but different conditions. He loves fishing crayfish, so that’s what we did. All day each day, it’s a finesse game, but once you master it, it’s deadly.

New pending record?!

Got a chance to fish @_miketsang_ while he was visiting Texas from the northeast. Early in the day we hooked up to a fish that didn’t want to give up, figured it was an angry cichlid or a nice bass until it got closer. When we got it to the net, we both knew that this was a special catch. A redear sunfish over 2 lbs and 13 inches. Although it beat the current state weight record on a fly, we released it with plans to submit for the catch and release length record. A record that’s been held since 2014 by none other than miss @mollyhpolk! Sorry Molly, time to catch an even bigger one!
