𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘. 😮‍💨

Sometimes the biggest acting adjustment isn’t in the lines — it’s in the breath.

When I tense up, I start thinking ahead, forcing moments, and trying to control the scene. Breathing brings me back into my body, back to my scene partner, and back to what’s actually happening 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄.

Less performing. More listening. More reacting. More 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Still training. Still learning. Still breathing through it.

Disclaimer: I’m VULNERABLE about my craft. Not too much on me. I’m learning and improving.

One thing acting keeps teaching me: 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. 🎭

You can know the lines, understand the scene, make your choices… and still get in your own head trying to perform them.

At the start of class, that was me. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The real work is learning to trust the preparation enough to let it go once the scene starts. 🎬

Always learning.

Here is how @lets_talk_acting coached me into developing my on scene character for the scene I chose from the movie Law Abiding Citizen.

I love Gerard Bulter's character in this movie!

Amazing Workshop! I highly recommend it for any in the industry! #letstalkacting #dallasactor #actingtips

Day 2 of The Let's Talk Acting Workshop here in Dallas I experienced a major "Ah Ha Moment!"

I am so glad I made the decision to invest in myself, step out on faith, and book to be a participant at this event.

SerDerius said something in July that connected with my spirit and I told myself I will be ready next time he was in town from LA.

It's really mind blowing when you have worked at something so hard for so long and you have someone to help you realize the hurdle you needed to get over. I wish I didn't wait so long to get this type of training. Videos coming soon.🙏🏽

Rescheduled master class is Now November 14-15th‼️ATLANTA actors‼️ “Acting is Hard, BEING is easy.” I’ll be teaching my acting master class November 14-15 9-5pm with lunch provided. Too often, actors in the southeast are overlooked for lead roles and I want to change that narrative. I don’t need an instructor who protects my ego—I need one who protects my growth. 🎬

Tell me the truth. Correct me. Challenge the choices that aren’t working. Give me the constructive criticism I need so I can go back, fix it, and come back stronger.

I’m not chasing perfection. I’m chasing progress, range, discipline, and greatness in my craft. Every note is another tool. Every mistake is something I can sharpen. And every class should leave me better than I walked in.

Don’t pacify my weaknesses. Help me strengthen them.
