Thank you Coach for having me out to camp! I really appreciate you giving me the opportunity to compete and learn from you and your staff. I took a lot from the experience and I’m definitely going to keep working on everything I learned. Hope to see you again soon! 🏀💯#LETUMBB @letumbb

The Texas D3 Eurobasket Team enters its 3rd year with a new person at the helm! Coach Joel Wallace from LeTourneau Univ replaces our very good friend Tyson Scott (congrats on your first baby!!!) on the 2027 trip! The trip will return to Portugal as it did in Year 1 competing against 4 teams from the professional ranks. The TX D3 team can consist of any TX D3 player and also members of the main D3 conferences that operate in TX! Looking forward to seeing what Coach Wallace can do in Year 1!!!

#ThrowbackThursday

Take a look back at one of the best basketball seasons in early LeTourneau history.

The YellowJackets finished the 1961/62 season 18–13 overall, but that record doesn’t tell the whole story. After a 6–8 start, the team caught fire, winning 12 of its next 15 games. In conference play, the Jackets went 13–3, finished second in the northern zone of the Texas Junior College Athletic Association, and advanced all the way to the conference championship game.

And apparently, they could put some points on the board, too. The Jackets topped 100 points three times, including a season-high 121.

It was also the first season at LeTourneau for head coach Murray Bailey, who pulled double duty as an instructor in the English Department.

Quite a debut season for Coach Bailey and the YellowJackets. 🏀
