Ultimate Ultron (2025)

2D Design / Accuracy - 4/5 - Great
I was sure that we’d see a new MCU-based Ultron when I first saw the legs on the comic-based figure from that Iron Man mech set in January of 2025. I just thought that it would be Ultron Prime, the version of the character that we see throughout most of Age of Ultron. After a decade, we finally got a screen-accurate Ultron figure based on his appearance near the end of Age of Ultron where he coats his new chassis in vibranium to face the Avengers. This figure has some pretty great-looking designs for all of the overlapping intricate parts of his body even if the lower-jaw piece attached at his neck is going all of the heavy lifting as far as his form goes. At the very least, this is a great design that I’m stoked to finally see on my MCU display rather than the concept-based one from 2015.

Print Quality / Coverage - 3/5 - Good
This figure is pad printed on both sides of the head piece, both sides of the torso, across the front of the hip piece, and on the front of each leg. The black outlines are pretty soft or smudgy in some areas but the metallic silver detail looks awesome. Unfortunately, this level of print quality is pretty typical of official figures these days when you look too closely.

Ultimate Ultron (2025)

Parts Usage - 3.5/5 - Very Good
While pearl silver hands and hip pieces didn’t exist when LEGO made the first Ultimate Ultron figure, they’ve been around for a few years now, so it’s great to see that this figure is comprised entirely of pearl silver parts, which are perfectly befitting of the character. The lower jaw piece is the same mold that was created for Ultron back in 2015, and while it offers those things along the sides of his head as well as a bit of extra shaping along the bottom portion of the head, the part that we saw on the original Ultimate Ultron figure, which merges with the lower jaw to create a more fully-proportional head shape, would have been great to see here with a bit of printing around the eyes.

I have always loved how those two pieces go together, and it has perplexed me for many

LEGO's Fantasic Four minifigures are far from fantastic, but these customs from @levelupminifigures ARE fantastic and are exactly what I wish we got originally!

My favorite part of this wave is the separate mid-fig torso for The Thing that can also be used to upgrade the official LEGO minifigure!

Thank you Level Up Minifigures for sending me these figures! #gifted
