Out tomorrow
From a very young age, Lu has been passionate about personal development and talking about the journey. She grew up on three continents which gives her a unique perspective on life, connecting with people of all cultures. Lu believes that intentionally developing one’s self is the best investment a person can make. As a nurse she serves others but more importantly she wants to help others discover their greatness and make an impact on the world.

We share how our upbringing affects our way of showing up and in the world and how letting go of our inherited narratives, our ego and limiting beliefs allows us all to trust in ourselves and grow into inspiring people.

When not impacting lives at the London hospital where she works, Lu Oni can be found impacting lives with her podcast, Level Up With Lu.

Lu shares her own journey to find more happiness, purpose and success with us as she interviews experts on topics ranging from easing anxiety and overcoming self-doubt to attracting love.

Her curiosity always leads to fascinating conversations and insights with her guests- and I am chuffed to now be one of them!

We dive into using fear as a catalyst to get what you want, dealing with self-sabotage and achieving goals (tip: use the momentum of the end of the year instead of waiting for the new one!)

It was so much fun to be Lu's guest speaker and collaborate with someone who walks her talk to make the world a little brighter by leading with her own light.

How do you make a self-care podcast stand out? ❤️

The concept for this illustration focuses on a personal journey. Self-care isn’t necessarily an A to B route. Metaphorically, there are stop signs, detours, you run low on petrol, get pulled over and a lot of the time you need directions. I really wanted to convey these things in a fun way! (big me up because I can’t even drive - yet lol)

This is one of my favourite illustrations I’ve ever done. Conceptually and visually. I definitely want to rework it into a graphic tee. I can’t bring myself to part with it.

With that being said, as much as I enjoy coming up with these ideas, it really does take time, experimentation and patience to execute it well and this is often overlooked. I am taking a break from commissions for a while for my own self-care! 🧖🏽‍♀️
