One of the most rewarding parts of running a business is knowing that your work has made a real difference in someone else’s life.

In the events industry, clients often come to us carrying more than a vision. They have expectations, decisions to make, details to manage and, sometimes, the pressure of wanting everything to come together perfectly.

Being able to take some of that weight off their shoulders is something I never take lightly.

For me, good service is not just about completing the job. It is about listening, communicating, anticipating needs and giving clients the confidence that their plans are in capable hands.

That is why a simple expression of gratitude can mean so much. It reminds me that beyond the event itself, there is a person whose trust we have been given the responsibility to honour.

And that trust is never something I want to become casual about.

To every client who has trusted @levelvettouch @levelvettouch_usheringservices with an important occasion, thank you. We understand the responsibility that comes with your trust, and we remain committed to giving you a service that makes the journey easier, not more stressful.

Because exceptional service is not only about what we deliver. It is also about how we make people feel along the way.

Some moments give you a reason to pause, reflect and appreciate the journey.

At the XPOSE Dinner and Awards Night 2026, themed Timeless Silhouette, @levelvettouch received the AVEA Special Presidential Award in recognition of our exceptional impact, selfless service and commitment to the association.

I am deeply grateful to @alimoshoeventvendorsasso AVEA for this recognition.

Building Le Velvet Touch has been a journey of service, learning, responsibility and a continued commitment to the work we do.

And while recognition is encouraging, I believe its greatest value lies in the reminder to keep contributing, keep improving and remain faithful to the standards we represent.

This recognition also means a great deal because no business is built alone. To my team and everyone who has contributed to the Le Velvet Touch journey, thank you. Your work is part of this story.

To AVEA, thank you for the honour and for recognising our contribution.

We receive this with gratitude and look forward to continuing to make meaningful contributions to our industry.

One of the most rewarding parts of building @levelvettouch @levelvettouch_usheringservices has been watching people grow along the way.

Because a business is not built on the strength of one person alone. It takes people who are willing to learn, take ownership, uphold standards and bring their own strengths to the work.

Leadership, to me, is not just about directing people or telling them what needs to be done. It is also about creating room for them to develop, trusting them with responsibility and helping them understand the value of what they contribute.

We are all still learning. There is always room to improve, to do better and to raise the standard. And I am grateful to have people who continue to be part of that journey with me.

To my team, thank you for your commitment, your effort and the part each of you plays in bringing the Le Velvet Touch vision to life. Your work matters, and I do not take it for granted.

Here’s to growing together, doing better together and building something we can all be proud of. 🤍

Reasons why you should book Butterflys events ( an event coordination company)

1. Stop trying to plan your event alone.
Yes, I said it.

If you want a day where you actually breathe and smile, you NEED an event coordinator.

Here’s why 👇

2. So you can ENJOY your own event

Because let’s be honest...
You don’t want to be the one shouting “caterer don’t forget meat!” On your wedding day.

We will run around for you. You just show up and glow ✨️

3. No more vendor stress.

You won’t have to be calling 10 vendors on event morning.
Your phone will be on DND.

4. Your event will actually have swift flow.

No “MC is waiting, bride is not ready” drama.

We create a proper timeline, and we stick to it. Everything will flow. No long, boring gaps.

5. When wahala comes (and it will), we handle it.

Rain wants to fall? Power just went off? Is the decorator late?

You won’t even know. We will fix it before it reaches you.

That’s our job — to be the shield.

6. Your event will look EXPENSIVE and feel effortless.

The difference between “just an event” and “wow, who planned this?! is a coordinator.

Don’t just do an event. Give your guests an experience they won’t forget.

Ready? Let’s talk.

Being busy is not the same as being productive.

After years of building businesses, managing people and working in an industry where there is always something demanding your attention, I have learned to ask a different question:

“Does this actually need me?”

Not every decision needs the CEO.
Not every problem needs my intervention.
Not every opportunity deserves my time.

Knowing what to take on, and what to leave with someone else, is part of building something that can grow beyond you.

The goal isn’t to become indispensable to everything.

The goal is to build people, systems and standards strong enough to keep moving forward.

That, to me, is a different kind of success.

And perhaps one of the most important lessons business has taught me. 🤍
