POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🇺🇸" Time is a thief.” There’s no better way to describe how I feel. We blinked, and you’re nearing the end of a journey built on hard work and dedication. From that nervous boy on his first day at Woodbury to a captain who helped his high school team reach heights it had been chasing for years.
Bittersweet. Another word that makes perfect sense now. 💙
Through all the changes and challenges, when you barely spoke English, soccer helped you connect, put down roots, and build friendships for life. It made you known in our state’s soccer community, and I became “Levi’s mom.” I joined the soccer moms, and I wear that title proudly!
In a few weeks, this chapter will close. And what a chapter you’ve written.
I’ll miss cursing in Portuguese and nobody understanding! And yelling across the stadium, “Hey, number 12! Don’t mess with my son!” He respected you in the seasons after that… or maybe he was just afraid I’d yell again. 😂
The away games, practices, summer league, team dinners, all those friends… If I hold this many beautiful memories, I can only imagine how many you carry.
Yesterday, I thought I’d cry, but Isabella kept me too busy! Still, the pride I felt was more than any tears could express.
That boy with a ball tucked under his arm, who couldn’t speak English… he did it. YOU did it, my son.
Look at the young man you’ve become. You’ve already overcome so much. Life will bring more challenges. Stay focused, be thoughtful about your choices, and keep moving forward, with God in your heart.
And this mom of yours, who pushes you so hard—you’ll understand why someday—will always be in the front row, celebrating your victories and cheering you on through every new chapter.
I love you, my son. More than words can say. 💙⚽️

The time flew by… last high school tryout. ❤️

I parked the car up there and watched you walk toward the field. Every step made me remember everything, from the day I got my positive test. All these years, the only thing that has motivated me — and still motivates me — is you (and now your sister too). All I’ve ever wanted was to be able to give you a future full of possibilities, a future with options.

Maybe I am, sometimes, annoying and demanding. 😂 But it’s because I want to see you succeed in life and become an independent, fulfilled, and stable adult. I want to give you opportunities I once wished I had myself.

And you’ve had so many experiences I once dreamed of living… and being able to watch you live all of it so intensely (sometimes a little too intensely, lol 😂) fills me with pride. You handled everything so well and made it all look easy: moving countries, changing homes, schools, environments, leaving friends behind, making new ones, and starting all over again.

And now begins a year full of “last times.” And while that tightens my heart, it also brings a pride that I can’t even put into words.

Here comes Senior Year! 🎓⚽️

I’m still not ready… but maybe that’s exactly why we raise our children: so that one day, we can let them go and live the world God has given us. ❤️

More than ever… FOCUSSSSSSS! 😂⚽️❤️
