Stoked to have picked this guy up from @leviathansnakes at the @southeast_reptile_expo ! Love how the sunset gene creates those dark rustic/ sunset oranges that brighten towards the belly! This guy just shed today to! This will be the start of our sunset project once he grows up a bit more! Thank you Steven and Courtney! #pandorasboxexotics #ballpython #reptile #snake #reptileexpo

Had an awesome time at the Southeast Reptile Expo! 🦎🐍 It was a great experience getting to see so many amazing reptiles, meet fellow enthusiasts, and connect with vendors who truly love what they do.

A big shoutout to Bob Vu for doing such a great job organizing and running the expo. Events like this don’t happen without a lot of hard work behind the scenes, and it definitely showed. Everything was well organized, welcoming, and a lot of fun.

Already looking forward to the next Southeast Reptile Expo! 👏🐢

WHAT AN AMAZING DAY! @lahni.leiloa and I had an absolutely amazing time at the @southeast_reptile_expo !!!!! We ended up with two snakes- a male hognose from @jmgreptiles who I have named Starscream, and a yet to be named super mojave ball python from @royalcanadianreptiles !!! We adore them both so much!

And we had the absolute HONOUR of chatting with Courtney and Steven of @leviathansnakes as well! You guys are amazing people and I can't wait to see y'all again!
We also ran into the tattooed santa, love that guy, always a delight :)

Our little friends are now in quarantine away from the other snakes and are gonna get a whole lot of love, once they're settled in.

We were so busy catching up with everyone that we barely took any photos... but that's a sign of a great weekend!

Three photos, countless conversations, and so many familiar faces.

Check out the @southeast_reptile_expo until 5 PM today! 🐍🦎

Day56 started when Will and I showed Jacob from @jrreptiles reptiles our concept for an app (that we vibe coded) and Jacob told us it was garbage and to hold his beer.

Jacob ended up surpassing every expectation with Day56 and made one of the coolest tools in the reptile hobby. At its core is a reptile focused CRM but it also offers hands-free voice activated husbandry tools where users can track feedings, pairings, locks and clutches all by speaking to Day56 without needing to scan QR codes or typing in updates.

So all of our clutches this year are except the first one have been affected by the july 4 weekend blackout. What i mean is, the power was out for 3 days WHILE the babies were still incubating. I was so worried but i talked to lorenzo of @jerseyballz_ and steven of @leviathansnakes and said there was nothing i could do but wait. And that waiting was agonizing but the first two clutches hatched and seem completely fine. I have 2 more clutches to go this year, with one hatching tomorrow. These babies pictured are from the asphalt het puzzle clutch. They are doing great. I separated them all today and awaiting their first shed. We have the first half of our first clutch up for sale, so check them out! We will update morphmarket as soon as we get test results back and determine our holdbacks!!! Our link is in our bio!!! #csjdesigners #babyballpythonsofinstagram #ballpythonbreeder #royalpythonbreeder

What separates a great breeder from someone who simply produces snakes?

Ten years ago, the answer might have been genetics.

In 2026, that’s not enough anymore.

What really sets a breeder apart is everything that happens behind the scenes—how the animals are cared for, how customers are treated, how pairings are planned, and the standards that are upheld day after day.

The good news? There are a lot of outstanding breeders in this hobby. You just have to know what signs to look for.

Whether you’re buying your first ball python or adding another to your collection, take the time to choose the breeder as carefully as you choose the snake.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone buying a ball python, what would it be?

Let’s hear it below. 👇🐍

One of the biggest complaints about reptile software is how tedious and complicated it is to keep everything up to date. With the release of our Collection Tracker for Pro users, we also debut the absolute easiest way to update any animal, pairing, or feeding by being able to do it all by pressing a SINGLE button.

So You Say Breed Ball Pythons? That’s Cool And All But The Real Flex In 2026 Is What You Do With Your Ball Pythons! Not Everyone Can Sell Them. 🤷🏻‍♂️🐍🔝
