Oh yes! We just re-stocked our Selastore with our latest ‘Magic Black Plastic Vol 8’!

https://shop.seladorrecordings.com/products/magic-black-plastic-volume-8

4 wonderful tracks, on one piece of vinyl you say? But are they any good you ask? We like to think that all 4 cuts will leave you drooling and smiling as you drink in the sound of Selador.

So what’s on it you ask?
it’s only starts with Andrew Sant and Andre Espeut’s achingly beautiful ‘The Call’, Dilby’s hypnotic ‘Closer’, Levi David & Abigail Bailey’s anthemic ‘A Better Place’, and last but in no way least, Aubrey Fry & Nick Stoynoff’s heavy hitting rework of Danny Howells’ ‘Stereodrama.’ yowsah! you know what to do ;)

It’s Bandcamp Friday!! Oh, but what is that?

Let me tell you.. so on the first Friday of each month, Bandcamp waives its revenue share, meaning nearly every dollar you spend goes straight to the artist / label. It’s a small but powerful way to show appreciation for the creators who soundtrack our lives.

Luckily we’ve just fully stocked up with both new, unreleased and classic Selador releases (it’s as though we almost panned this…), and added our wonderful new merchandise from hoodies, T-shirts, vinyl, artwork and so much more too.

Whats floating your boat here? Let us know

It’s always a thrill when music from our own Adelaide scene makes its way onto wax, and Andrew Sant has delivered something truly special. His collaboration with Andre Espeut, The Call, has been chosen for Selador Recordings’ much-loved Magic Black Plastic series, now in its 8th edition. With the likes of locals producers Dj Inkswel, Dj Gratts & Temple sharing the mantle in these last few years.

This carefully curated vinyl EP gathers four standout cuts from the Selador catalogue, and Andrew’s track shines as an achingly beautiful vocal gem—soulful, emotive, and timeless. Sharing space on the record are Dilby’s hypnotic Closer, Levi David & Abigail Bailey’s uplifting A Better Place, and Aubrey Fry & Nick Stoynoff’s heavyweight rework of Danny Howells’ Stereodrama.

For Andrew, this marks the first time one of his productions has appeared on vinyl. A milestone not just for him but for Adelaide’s music community. To see his work pressed alongside international heavyweights is a proud moment, and one worth celebrating.

Congratulations to Andrew Sant and Andre Espeut on crafting a piece of music that not only resonates digitally but is now etched forever in black plastic. Andrew Sant will be playing at @musicroom_melbourne on the 12th of October with support yours truly. Playing many of his latest releases.

The Summer Series features 4 mixes that will be avaliable to watch on YouTube, as well as available to stream on soundcloud & mixcloud. Our first feature is of @progmaticuk , premiering Friday 26th on YouTube 8PM!
