“Decisions Ignite The Future” musicvideo - a collab song between @iamlydiamel & @inspirationnow_series by @andreasmueller5522 What if every decision we make has the potential to change our future? We filmed this movie in Stockholm - a place that has a lot of personal decision-making-history for me. More on that later 😃 #stockholm #decisions #youcreateyourfuture #singersongwriter #turnpainintomusic @sonarsoundstudios @hoefi001 @levixdrums @andreasmueller5522 🎥 filmed by @eriknensen

A little bit about the background story of our new collab album “ARROWS” from @inspirationnow_series by @andreasmueller5522 and @iamlydiamel

When Andi approached me about writing lyrics for this album so that he could write music that is a bit of a cross- over between pop and jazz It was a bit of a new adventure for me, normally when I write songs I come up with lyrics and melody ideas at the same time and then start collaborating - this time it was different.

At the time I was reading a book that was really inspiring for me and at the same time reminded me a lot about Andi as a person. The book „The Last Arrow“ by @erwinmcmanus is centered around not leaving anything for your next life, to live in the now and give the moment your in your everything. I couldn’t think of a someone better to write this Album with than Andi who helped me and supported me as a teenager to become a better pianist, who then went on to help me produce my first EP during a time when a chronic sickness almost stopped me from being able to make music.

So which „arrows“ were we gonna shoot? Which songs were we going to write? It ended up being 11 songs where we also had the chance of inviting some guests to be part of it - looking forward to sharing more about the specific songs with you very soon. 😊🥳🎶

Der Steg ist von Bergen und einem teilweise bewölkten Himmel umgeben. Der Text "INSPIRATION NOW VOL. 9" und "ARROWS" ist im oberen Bereich des Bildes zu sehen. Darunter stehen weitere Sätze wie "RAIN IS ON THE WAY | RIPPLE EFFCT | GET OUT NOW | TODAY IS ONLY TODAY | ELEVEN SPIRITUAL STEPS IN ALTERNATIVE POP".

ARROWS the album - out now =)

A collaboration between InspirationNow Series (by Andreas Müller) and Lydia Mel. Inspired by the book “The last arrow” by Erwin McManus we had many conversations about life on long studio nights and what it means to “shoot your arrows” and live life to the fullest, serving others and fulfill your individual and unique calling. With no compromise pursue the things you were created for, the things you were made to do and leave an impact on other people and find your purpose and place on this earth.

BIG thanks to everyone who has been a part of this!

Found another summer gig flashback with a moment I won’t forget.. doing what shouldn’t be possible.. I can only “trick” my nervous system into being able to override the pain in my hands if I’m 100% MYSELF.. letting go of everything and then even if it’s for some short moments: PLAY.. knowing it comes with a cost and a night full of painful overreactions. But for my soul - this means - EVERYTHING! #pianist #turnpainintomusic #livemusic #beingme #pianomoments So much fun to play with you @music_goncalves @levixdrums @dondiego_fernando in the wonderful restaurant Rössli @roessli_adliswil_ @morethansoundsadliswil thanks for having us

Summer Gig Flashback - those piano moments are rare, they require everything, come at a high cost - but they mean everything.

I have to be in a place where I can ride on a “music adrenaline wave” where the body can do things “it shouldn’t be able to do”, where adrenaline acts as a pain killer, where my nervous system is in a state of complete safety, where I’m 100% myself, where I’m letting go completely.. I can feed on those moments forever - even though they come at the cost of sleepless nights where the pain is kicking in again, the adrenaline coming down, my hands start to swell and change their color, where the nerve sickness is putting up its fight again with my body. It’s easy to get discouraged in those moments and sometimes they carry a lot of grief and loss in that moment, giving me flashbacks from back in the days when I would play 6hours a day, play whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted - without any pain, without pain overrractions following afterwards, following the night afterwards and even beyond that..

For a long time “singing” felt like the “second instrument” ..and my big heart cry has been “will it ever feel like playing the piano always felt”.. I was trying so hard to the point where I couldn’t keep trying harder. And in that moment. Everything changed..

Can’t wait to share more about this moment in upcoming songs - and the transition from expanding my mindset from “I’m a pianist” to “I’m an ARTIST”. No matter if it’s through singing, playing, or writing songs - I am an artist translating the world around me into songs and music. Letting music do what only music can - express the indescribable, the unspoken.. hopefully going straight into the heart of the listener.💙

@levixdrums 🥁 @dondiego_fernando 🎸 had so much fun with you guys! Thank you 🫶
