It's been a Brooklyn summer. Brooklyn has been the borough to be at Summer '26. For me, it began by visiting St. James Place, the block and home Biggie Smalls aka Notorious B.I.G. was raised at, then walked down to Greene Avenue where Jadakiss, Derrick "D-Dot" Angeletti and Dead Prez performed at a wonderful Block Party. Some artists make great music. Others become the soundtrack to your life. For two unforgettable nights, I had the chance to experience both. From The Blueprint ~ an album that will forever sit at the top of my list πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯ to Night 3 /Extra Innings, it felt like I was walking through chapters of my own life. Every song carried me back to my teens, through my twenties, and well into my thirties, reminding me of where I was, who I was becoming, and just how much of my journey has had Jay’s music playing in the background. Three and a half hours of waiting somehow became insignificant once the music started. We walked out at 3:00 AM, and I woke up this morning with the same smile I went to bed with. Some experiences aren’t just concerts ~ they’re truly reminders of how deeply music can mark seasons of our lives. This weekend was one of those moments. Thank you @jayz πŸ–€πŸ Thank you New York. ✨ Proof of LIFE lately... ✨ I've been off the grid and off course a bit, but I truly believe God has placed me exactly where I need to be right now. Waking up this morning, I found myself in my feelings. While I may feel homesick at times, I know I am exactly where I’m meant to be. This collage is a glimpse into the past two months - a beautiful reminder of the quality time spent with my mommy, the love of my friends and family, and the abundance of support that surrounds me.
