Where dancing meets healing - that’s what happens when the Anjunafam comes together for multiple days. We had two days of pure, incredible magic, and one night that brought a brutal storm. It would have been easy to pack it up, go home, and stay dry, but as @pojomojojojo said when we had to temporarily leave the venue for emergency weather, “This experience will build spirit.”

There were plenty of hard moments that night, but there’s truly nowhere else I would have rather been than right there, surrounded by this group of people. And when the show finally came back on… just wow.

Thank you to all the incredible DJs for the mind-blowing sets, to the family I came with, and to the new family I left with 💛

22 months ago, I’d HAD IT with the pressure I was feeling from lingering debt, trying to keep up with the Joneses, and overspending habits. I felt insecure and knew I needed a change.

I sacrificed sleep, free time, fun, trips with friends, and yes even FESTIVALS to make the dream work. I picked up ANY job I could, both at and well below my skill level. I cut out any unnecessary purchases like a nicer gyms, clothing, frivolous grocery purchases, beauty appointments, Red Rocks shows, etc because the goal was more important.

I cried many times as I would pickup work and sometimes lose that opportunity. I also cried from the lack of sleep and feeling like I was missing out on what my friends were all doing. But I kept going, I wasn’t going to let that stop me.

I had nearly everyone worried for my mental health, especially @mobismusic . Although everyone around me didn’t fully understand, they still supported in ways I’ll never forget.

Now, 22 months later, I am DEBT FREE and was able to share my story with millions of people around the world this last week. I got to meet so many people I admire in the process and was treated like a star. In the end, I’m just one woman who buckled down and stood on a stage for 10 minutes.

I had so much support around me from some of my closest people including my parents who flew up from Raleigh, @mobismusic my amazing boyfriend and inspiration for this change, @zibrahim10 one of my closest, kindest friends from the music scene, @alexluidens my homie since college, and his girlfriend @vivianleeboulton who has become a beautiful friend to me as well.

Although some road blocks were in the way for others, I had an outpouring of support from people tuning in from a distance. Thank you thank you thank you for all your support and love! It did not go unnoticed!!!

This was absolutely one of the BEST days of my life and I am so grateful to have been able to celebrate the closing of this chapter!!
