pokopia is easily one of my favourite games of all time! 🌿

something I didn’t expect though was that it made me appreciate just how much effort goes into each pokémon’s design, and how many cool pokémon there are that I never really paid attention too. for example, this lil guy, ✨grubbin✨

@crankyeagle sent me an adorable grubbin pokémon card for my birthday & it made me want to collect every single grubbin card! 🥰 it was so fun to hunt for that I decided to start collecting cards again.. so lots of pokémon TCG content on the way 😌

🍌 Donkey Kong Bananza 🍌Switch 2 release day

How have you all been enjoying the Switch 2? I love the system, it's pretty much exactly what I wanted from Nintendo; a more powerful Switch that's backwards compatible. However, because it is so similar to the Switch, that new console feel wore off quicker than usual. For me, whilst I enjoy Mario Kart World (nothing will top Double Dash!), and from Nintendo's perspective it is the best launch game they could have done, it left me wanting more. I wish it had a single player campaign of some sort, and more to the open world. That's why I've been looking forward to Donkey Kong Bananza; it's the first party single player game many of us needed at launch! I love Mario Odyssey (and have been watching my favourite streamer @deebeegeek playing it for his first time at the moment), so if that's anything to go off then I have high hopes that the same team have pulled off yet another great game here!

hi friends, it’s been a minute! 🙋🏻‍♀️ so… who else is still playing infinity nikki every single day? 👀🤍✨

that past few months have been super busy at work and i was feeling so burnt out, trying to keep up with game releases, trends, etc. & i didn’t feel like posting anymore for a while. i’ve reflected a lot on how IG has changed since i started this account in 2019 and unfortunately i know it will never be the same — i met some of my closest friends here, back when engagement and reach weren’t so complicated! i’m grateful for all the friends i’ve made through this community & i decided i’ll continue to share my love for video games, maybe just with a much more casual approach. hope u all still see my posts on your feed, even if they’re usually not reels or the newest releases. ily n thank u for being here and reading all this yap. :’) 🫶

I most recently finished Echoes of Wisdom (and of course I had to get that special edition Switch Lite), and whilst it's not my favourite Zelda game, I still very much enjoyed it for what it is. The way I see it, it's like an 8/10 game, but a 6 or 7/10 Zelda game... take from that what you will!

I'm now currently playing Super Mario RPG. I'm enjoying it so far, but more on that in the next post...

Happy New Year everyone. I'm still alive, just haven't posted in ages! 2024 was a busy year for me - my girlfriend and I purchased our first home and moved in in September 🏡

Gaming wise, I set myself the target of completing 12 single player games... unfortunately I only managed 6! The busy year + me just being quite a slow coach with games recently didn't help, and I've been in a bit of a gaming rut, the past few months especially. I played other types of games on top of the 6 too of course, such as mulitplayer/party games like Super Mario Party Jamboree. Anyway, all 6 were my first time play throughs of these games (many of which are classics), besides RE4 which I had played before but never finished (until this year!), and my personal favourite game of the year of the 6 (see list below) I played and finished is... the original Final Fantasy VII, which I played on Switch! It was the second game of the 6 I played (they're listed in order) and took me around 3 months 😅 (as I said, I've really become a slow gamer!). I will set myself the same target again for 2025 and we'll see if I achieve 12 or more!

• Spider-Man 2

• Final Fantasy VII

• Bayonetta

• Resident Evil 4

• Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion

• The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
