 Hey, I’m Lex and my husband Ben and I are Montreal wedding photographers & videographers. After years of capturing love stories, here are our top 3 tips to help you choose the right wedding photoG:

1️⃣ Artistic Style – Make sure their work speaks to you.
 2️⃣ Communication & Planning – Ask how they prep with you before and after the big day. Of course during busy season communications might be slower, but make sure they are answering your questions.
 3️⃣ Wedding Day Approach – Are they fly-on-the-wall ninjas or more hands-on directors, or a little mix of both? See what vibes best with you. And ask questions to understand what both you and your fiancé are looking for. It’s easy to get wrapped up with social media and what’s trending.

These things make all the difference. Let us know what matters most to YOU when choosing your photographer!

Here are a few tips for getting great wedding ceremony pictures. Big thanks to our friend Aliza @alizadworkind for putting up with our antics, sharing ideas, and helping us film! 🎥
Remember, it’s your day, so do what makes you happiest!

Here are some tips for capturing the best ceremony pictures:

1. Ensure your bridal party walks down the aisle spaced out.
2. Instruct your officiant to move for both the first kiss and vow exchange.
3. When going in for your first kiss, stand close together—no gaps. We don’t want prom pictures!
4. Have your bridal party cheer, smile and bring energy when you exit after the ceremony.
5. Avoid using phones to fully experience and enjoy the moment. You won’t regret it.

#7️⃣ Part 1. OLLA everyone! We’re back with another exciting video.

Today, we’re tackling a question we get asked quite often: « How can I make my wedding day run smoother? »

While there are countless tips to ensure a seamless wedding day, it’s impossible to cover them all in a brief Instagram reel. So, here are a few key suggestions:
1. Hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. (Popped a few up on the screen who we’ve personally worked with and LOVED) but there are SOO many more amazing ones.
2. Invest in a great DJ. (Again, SO many great ones in Montreal, featured in this video is @btbmtl
3. Avoid planning your wedding across multiple locations.
4. Communicate with your vendors and family. Setting expectations in advance can make a huge difference.

# 5️⃣ Let’s give a round of applause for Lex (aka myself)! Yesterday, we heard Ben’s advice for fellow grooms gearing up for summer weddings. Today, the spotlight shifts to my insights, tailored for brides knee-deep in the wedding planning process.

📢👏🏼 My advice to anyone saying ‘I do’ would be to set realistic expectations and resist the allure of trends pushed by Instagram or TikTok. Be kind to yourself and always remember that this day is about you and your fiancé. Stay true to that.

✨🌸🌊⛵️ My next tip is to plan a mini-moon or set aside a day-after dinner to celebrate being husband and wife. Your wedding day flies by so quickly! I definitely experienced post-wedding blues and wished we had allocated some time afterward to let it all sink in!!
