Tears of Joy- (feat. @lexcatl) My heart hurts for this world… for the pain, the division, the loss, and the things people carry that nobody sees.
But I still have joy. 🙏🏾
Because my faith isn’t in what I see around me—it’s in the One who promised that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy shall come in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5
These aren’t tears because I’ve given up.
They’re tears because I still care.
Tears because I still believe.
Tears because I know God is still working, even when I don’t understand what He’s doing.
Tears of Joy.
For everybody hurting right now… hold on. Morning is coming. ☀️🙏🏾

It's family party time!! I'm J.T. Garvey & I'm excited to announce the debut single from Ruby and the Green Guardians! .....“Planting Trees!” 🌱🎶🌳

I created this song because caring for the environment is important — and honestly, we are not restoring the Earth the way we should be right now. If we don’t change something now, the world our kids grow up in will not be the same world we had.

As a parent, these are the kinds of songs, stories, and educational moments I want to see more of for children. So I decided to create them.

I’m not a musician by nature. I’m just someone with a vision, and when I see the goal, I learn what I need to learn and do what I have to do to bring it to life.

“Planting Trees!” is a fun, energetic, kid-friendly song that teaches children about planting trees, taking care of the Earth, working together, and becoming stewards of the environment.

This is for our kids — and for all kids.

And to any real musicians out there — singers, rappers, country artists, R&B artists, or anyone who wants to create positive music for children — I’m open to collaborating as I build out the Ruby and the Green Guardians YouTube cartoon series, book series, and songs.

Shoot me a DM if you’d like to get to work for the kids.

And listen to how the song builds up. I promise, listen to it all the way to the end — you’ll love it!!!. 🌍🌳🎶

Just wrapped up 2 years of nonstop shows! Hundreds of hours on the road and on stage. Countless private clubs and societies, weddings, festivals, and fundraisers. So many beautiful, exclusive, and historic places. I joined a family of world-class musicians, performers, engineers, and just good people. I grew tremendously as a vocalist, MC, and person🔋

Big shoutout to @goldenrosemgt for this life changing season🙏🏾🫡.

What’s next? Icing my knees😂 but also— public shows, original music, and more battery power⚡️coming soon. #stayncharge 🔋

Handling sound issues like a pro 😎!

We’ve all heard the saying, “The show must go on,” and here’s an example of what that can sometimes mean!

During a live performance, we never know what could go wrong, so we have to keep our senses on a swivel and be ready to deal with any unforeseen issues. In my case, the batteries in my pack kept popping out of place, causing the pack to lose power which interfered with me being able to hear myself on stage.

“The show must go on,” so I didn’t panic. I also did run off stage, which would have made the issue obvious. I signaled the sound man as best I could and got squared away without taking the audience out of their experience.

A couple great things were demonstrated here:
✨ The importance of knowing a show so you can continue even through issues. I didn’t get flustered or lose my place in the show.
✨The importance of having stage awareness. Both myself and the sound person were engaged in the show while staying alert with what was happening on stage. We saw each other and were able to communicate without stopping the show. Once my pack was ready, I was also able to tell when he was waiting to reattach it. The handoff was smooth!

I’d like to thank Beyoncé for her years of showing us how to keep the show going despite issues on stage. I unofficially studied under her influence for years 🙂‍↕️!
