We’ve come a long way since last year’s conference! This year we partnered with @panthercameracar to share more about our Beyond The Gear program and what tools are accessible to Houston filmmakers.

We interviewed some incredibly talented filmmakers and industry professionals, including Director @nellteare, Executive Director of the Houston Film Commission @alfredvcervantes, and more!

More of our favorite moments:
- promoting Write On with @amandavpfeiffer
- Neighboring booths with @suitebreadcolor
- @__phoeberay__ and @lexi.bragg holding the fort (our booth) down

We’re already excited for next year! Thank you @cinemasocietyhtx & @swampfilm for hosting such an amazing event to uplift Houston artists.

I wanted to take a second and thank all our supporters. It goes without saying, we couldn’t make this film without y’all!
So from the bottom of my heart thank you all so much! I wanted to create something that challenged me as an artist as well as the creatives that came to be part of it. I believe we’re doing that. The next challenge will be for the audience: How will they change after watching our film?

FISHTANK:
“When a day laborer arrives to mount a wealthy insurance broker’s television, a night of scripture, proverbs, and small talk curdles into a predator’s game of class and control - one that ends with blood in the water.”
A 15-minute short exploring the myth of bootstraps, class, and the illusion of choice.
For the past few months, we’ve been in pre-production, assembling our crew, scouting locations, planning production design, and gearing up to shoot by the end of October. This film is purely a passion project made by young and incredibly talented HTX filmmakers, all committed to sharing this perspective on the predatory systems affecting our everyday lives. It would mean the world if you could help us tell our story, here in our city.

We’re grateful for every share and donation made.

My family and friends threw me the sweetest most personable birthday on the beach last night & I couldn’t have asked for more. Realized that as I look around, everything I could’ve ever wanted is already right in front of my eyes! Thank you Father!!

Also my sweet friends asked for God’s gift to me to be the prettiest sunset I’ve seen, and that is EXACTLY what He gave me (and a red moon hehe). Oh man I love Him & feel so loved by Him🤍

We had the pleasure of being apart of this year’s Houston Media Conference presented by @cinemasocietyhtx @swampfilm. An open forum where professionals involved in all aspects of production can meet, greet and engage with representatives from Houston’s film industry. 🎥✨

With our founder @gwade05 moderating a panel on lessons learned from the World Cup, to highlighting our newest projects on the vendor floor, or helping create opportunities for the next generation of film makers with our production partners. 🪕🦫🎬

This and more is what we strive to achieve at BBP. Create amazing stories, intertwine ourselves in the community and give back to the next generation. We love being apart of the growth of the industry!

Stay tuned for all the new things on the horizon! 🌅 🎞️

Big shout out to the team @lexi.bragg @amandavpfeiffer @phoeberay22 who staffed our booth this weekend along with our partners @slidelightproductions @panthercameracar & @suitebreadcolor. @mgfilm.fotos 📸

We love a good team! 🤝

🎬 HOUSTON UNDERGROUND: EPISODE ONE IS IN THE CAN.

What started as an idea is officially becoming something real.

Our first episode of Houston Underground featuring filmmaker Jenny Waldo: Mustang Martha and the Houston Media Conference has officially wrapped production.

Houston Underground was created to shine a light on the filmmakers, artists and creatives shaping Houston’s cultural identity, and to show what can happen when we invest in the creative community already building incredible work right here in our city.

A HUGE thank you to Banjo Beaver Productions for jumping in, believing in the vision and helping bring this first episode across the finish line 🫶🏼

There’s still plenty of work ahead in post-production, but getting Episode One in the can feels pretty damn good.

Houston Underground has officially begun.

What an incredible 4 day weekend at the 2026 Houston Media Conference. Not only did I get to represent my friend and co- producer’s production company @banjobeaverproductions , but I unexpectedly got to reconnect with friends from a film shoot in Waco earlier this year. What a pleasure to have been able to hang out and have a mini-reunion.

I met so many incredible artists and filmmakers and learned a lot about how the Houston Film market is steadily growing. I attended so many panels and being a vendor allowed me to speak with so many creatives! Seriously, I think I spoke to more people in the last four days than I have in the last year! 😅 We even got to sneak in an unexpected @houstondynamo game (that I was probably way too tired to fully appreciate.)

It’s exciting to be even a small part of Houston’s growing film industry and @cinemasocietyhtx and @swampfilm put on a great event this year. I can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves for next year’s conference.

Special shout out to @mgfilm.fotos and @lexi.bragg for capturing some of these amazing photo memories and I loved hanging out with you this weekend!
@gwade05 ,@Amandavpfeiffer, @nellteare what an amazing few days with you!
I can’t believe I didn’t get pictures with you @angelinesstills and @henderson79 (and honestly Sara, congrats for shocking me to the point that I literally crumbled to the floor 🤣). Until Next Year!
