Lexi - When I watched the National FFA Convention, and saw the National Officer introduction; I waited for the Eastern Region Vice President... Your name wasn't called. I waited for Secretary... Your name wasn't called again... I crossed my fingers when they called the National President... And you didn't make it. It was so sad when you didn't get an officer position when I knew you worked so hard to earn a title.

I was hoping to see you in a certain FFA jacket; One that has nothing but a Emblem on the back - No Pennsylvania - No Association. But I am still so proud to see you with your jacket that has the emblem, with Pennsylvania and Association on the back.

You had painted a road for so many FFA members; including me, and had inspired me to try to get my officer position.

I know God has other plans for you, and you will succeed in them. You are the strongest leader and person I've met in FFA. Just making it as a National Officer Candidate made Pennsylvania FFA so proud. I know that every step you are going to take will continue to make us proud.

As I reflect on this past week, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supported me throughout the Fair Queen process.

To my family, friends, mentors, and everyone in our community—thank you for every encouraging word, every prayer, every hug, every message, and for simply showing up. I am so incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such a kind, supportive community. Your belief in me meant more than you know, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better support system.

Although I wasn’t selected as Fair Queen, I am so thankful for the opportunity, the friendships, the memories, and everything this experience taught me. It has been an honor to represent something that means so much to me.

Congratulations to @chelsie.bomgardner and @anna_houser07 ! I know you both are going to do an incredible job representing our fair this year. I can’t wait to see all that you accomplish, and I’ll be cheering you on and supporting you every step of the way.

Thank you again to everyone who made this journey so special. My heart is so full, and I can’t wait to continue serving and supporting the fair and this amazing community that I love so much. 🤍🌽🎡

@lexibutler15 ,

I just wanted to say thank you for everything you’ve done for me this past week. Your advice, encouragement, and constant support throughout the Fair Queen experience meant more to me than you’ll ever know. Every time I had a question, needed reassurance, or just wasn’t sure what to do, you were there to guide me and help me feel more confident.

You’ve been such an incredible role model, and I’m so grateful to have someone like you. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences, answer all of my questions, and remind me to just be myself. Your kindness and belief in me made this week so much more special.

@chloe.bomgardner.71 ,

I just wanted to say thank you for all of your support and encouragement. It means so much to have someone like you cheering me on, and I’m so grateful for our friendship.

I’m especially excited that I’ll be joining you at Oklahoma State! Knowing I’ll have one of my close friends there makes this next chapter even more exciting. I can’t

In my retiring address, I talked about two things:
1. You cannot have unconditional love for others when you have conditional love for yourself.
2. Follow all the signs God gives you, even if it’s as simple as a dandelion.
Thank you all for making an impact on my heart. I am so proud of the work you have done and excited to see the places you will go. I couldn’t have asked for any other five best friends, who have shown me what it means to be family even though you aren’t blood.

Love you, mean it.

One year ago, I got the opportunity to serve as your Maryland FFA State Vice President. Now, I leave this role with a heart full of gratitude.

To the Maryland FFA Association, thank you for trusting me with the privilege of serving you. Thank you for every handshake, every conversation, every chapter visit, every laugh, and every memory. You welcomed me into your communities, challenged me to grow, and reminded me every day why this organization is so special.

To our members, thank you for being the reason behind every mile traveled and every early morning. Your passion, resilience, and willingness to lead have inspired me more than you’ll ever know. Watching you discover your confidence, find your purpose, and realize your potential has been the greatest honor of my year.

Maryland FFA has given me far more than I could ever give back. It has shaped me into a stronger leader, a better communicator, and, most importantly, a better person. While my blue jacket may look a little different now, the lessons, friendships, and memories I carry with me will last a lifetime.

As one chapter closes, I know the story of Maryland FFA continues to be written by each of you. Keep leading with courage, serving with humility, and believing in the impact you can make.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to serve you. It has been the honor of a lifetime!🫶🏼
