happy “Bullets” release day ❤️‍🩹 i remember being heartbroken and on the bus when i wrote this one. I opened up GarageBand on my iPhone, pulled up the guitar sound, and recorded the jankiest demo vocal into my cheap 7/11 headphone mic. It was exhilarating, and cathartic. I was sad, and also happy. Confused, but also so so sure of what was coming outta me. (that’s what she said) anyway… I’ve always had a hard time with love. And while I’ve been heartbroken by people leaving.. the greatest pain I have felt is leaving the ones that tried to love me. I’m 26, and learning to love again. But I feel like God helped me write this song. He may have actually just written it for me, and I was so sad at the time of writing this, that I had no more thoughts to cloud the creativity. Just an open heart, and an open journal. I think that’s why it felt so good to write it. But also, I finished this song with some of the people I love the most, last summer. thank you to @pierre.postal and @http.sboothy for helping me finish this song and offering your creative genius.. thank you to @pierre.postal @songswithfriends @samjacksonwillows for bringing this song to life with your incredible production. Today’s the first Monday I think I’m celebrating. Don’t Know What You Had is now yours, everywhere, at any time. 💝

This song means so much to me. I wrote this with dear friends, as you shall see in this goofy carousel. I decided to start again two years ago with my whole life/career/etc, and I didn’t know what music I’d be making. Two years later, I authentically feel like I found it. And it’s such an exciting gift, to have this precious song that’s been living in my DEMOS for too long, to now be everyone’s song. I hope you love it. I hope you dance to it, cry to it if needed, (I know I did) I hope you scream to it, be petty with it, all of it.

Thank you to everyone supporting me on this path I chose a long time ago. I love you all. A massive shoutout to @voiceschris for believing in me day one. Thank you for being so attentive to me and helping me create this vision.
