We Didn’t Start the Fire 🔥

Did you know that it took a relentless 45-year campaign to enact Medicare in 1965? As a profession, dietitians were unfortunately left out, and that exclusion has long impacted our compensation.

Fast forward to 2002, when insurance coverage finally began for dietitians providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for renal and diabetes care. This milestone didn’t happen overnight—it was the result of monumental education and advocacy efforts by many dedicated individuals.

I’m profoundly grateful to everyone who championed these changes. But we can’t stop here.

Our journey for fair compensation and recognition continues. The more we, as dietitians, become financially literate, solution-oriented, and engaged in public policy, the closer we get to receiving compensation that truly reflects the value we bring.

Let’s learn together. Let’s take action together. The Dietitian Money Conference is our opportunity to fuel the fire for change and empowerment.

Register today and join us on this transformative journey. Remember, early bird registration ends on Wednesday, 9/18—don’t miss your chance to save and make a significant impact.
