13th in the world under 18 girls !!! This year has been my favourite campaign. Pumping waves the whole time, warm water and amazing teammates and supporters surrounding me. An eighth-place finish for the New Zealand Junior Surfing Team at the 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship completed in El Salvador today. A big effort from the Kiwi team who represented Aotearoa with pride throughout the event and put in a fantastic group effort. A big congratulations to everyone involved – participants, management and parents there on the ground and back here in New Zealand securing the best result in 16 years. 📷 @isasurfing

Alani Morse will match up on finals day at the World Junior Surfing Championship in El Salvador. Two big heats today saw the Raglan surfer advance to the final six surfers in the Under 16 Girls. She will surf at 2:45am Monday morning for a shot at the finals. The team currently sit in eighth overall. Alexis Owen missed the final day by one heat to finish seventh overall. After a dominant first up heat in the morning, Alexis couldn’t make it two from two in the quarters. Lola Groube finished her campaign in nineteenth in the Under 16 Girls unable to make it out of her morning heat. 📷 @isasurfing
