once an indian, always an indian 💜 #rolltribe

four years later and i’m still trying to figure out how we got here.

high school ended up being so much more than football games, friday nights, and a diploma waiting at the finish line. it was tribe talk filming days, fbla competitions, mentoring, leadership roles, chick-fil-a shifts, deadlines, stress, and trying to balance everything all at once. i spent so much of these last four years constantly moving, constantly showing up, and constantly trying to be everything for everyone.

but behind all of that, there were struggles people didn’t always see. these years came with grief, mental health battles, pressure, and moments where simply getting through the day felt like an accomplishment. there were seasons where i was carrying things much heavier than homework. there were losses, big moments missing important people, and days where i felt like i was fighting battles quietly.

and maybe one of the most emotional parts of this whole journey is knowing i get to walk across that stage with my mom’s last name. not the one i grew up with, but the one that represents the person who showed up, stayed, sacrificed, and carried me through every single hard season. the name of the person who never missed the big moments, never stopped believing in me, and never let me quit. out of everything i’m graduating with, that means more than i could ever put into words.

high school gave me some of the highest highs too. friendships, opportunities, memories, and versions of myself i never would have met otherwise. somewhere between the chaos and growing pains, i found strength i didn’t know i had.

so here’s to every high, every low, every lesson, and every version of me that existed during these four years. i made it. and i’m proud.
