It’s hard to put into words how it feels to have something you love be done forever. Volleyball has been a part of my life for so long and I can’t believe it’s finally over. The time and effort I put in to better myself not just for me but for my teammates is incredible. When I wasn’t fighting for myself I was fighting for them. For my support, my friends, and my family beside me. I will forever be grateful for this sport that I grew up playing and I will be especially thankful for the teammates I had along the way. These girls that I have grown up with are not just my teammates but my family. They push me to be better and they are my why. When I look back at volleyball, I won’t remember the wins and losses, but I will remember the bonds and memories with these girls. Thank you for everything and I’m so proud of all of you! I will miss this sport, but mostly, I will miss my team.

thank you to everyone who has been a part of my volleyball journey. to my parents, thank you for always being there for me, from varsity games to out of state club tournaments. your support means more to me than you’ll ever know. to my siblings, thank you for keeping me humble and always pushing me to be better.

thank you to all my past coaches for helping me realize that volleyball was bigger than myself. thank you for pushing me both on and off the court, helping me improve my skills and teaching me how to be the best teammate i could be.

thank you to all my past teammates. to my school teammates, thank you for showing up for me over the last four years. i couldn’t have asked for a better team to share these memories with. to my club teammates, thank you for showing me another sense of family and giving me people all across the state who will always mean so much to me. i’ll never forget the countless memories, laughs, lessons, and friendships this sport has given me.

volleyball has given me so much more than just a game. it’s given me a second family, unforgettable memories, and lessons i’ll carry with me long after the final whistle. i’m forever grateful for everyone who has been a part of this journey.
