Does anyone else have a story like this? I want to know ❤️ I was nervous about posting this. Big shoutout to my brother @levicap for his work with me on deliverance and my brother @lexumontv for sending me a word from scripture every day.

If Barrett wants to be the #BB28 champion, he’s going to have to embody traits of those who came before him and unlock the very best version of himself. Let him be bright and pure of spirit like @ianpterry14, hilarious and cunning like @andyherren, a caring competitive powerhouse like @kcsince1987, and manage his threat level with excellent persuasive skills like @kevintedjacobs.

This group of players honors past BB winners, some love to our neighbors up north in Canada (the undeniable 12-season @arisaroo juggernaut), players gone perhaps far too soon, and…what’s this??? What’s a SURVIVOR fan favorite doing in Barrett’s Big Brother video?! How dare?! What nerve!!! But if @courtneyyates can’t solve the feud between these two fandoms, who can?

Thank you, once again, to everyone who contributed videos to this birthday celebration. Not a dime was spent on Cameo and it is these alumni’s love for this game and their generous love toward their successors, that may be my favorite thing about this community.

Sept. 1, 2026 is my 15-year L.Aversary & it has taken me ALL DAY to narrow down my Top 10 highlights of living in #LosAngeles for the past 15 years.

Tl;dr: the move West was good for me & I don't regret it for a second.

HIGHLIGHTS:

1 - MAKING MORE CREATIVE WORK THAN I EVER DID IN NY
From nearly the moment I arrived, I got involved in various projects across multiple mediums & in multiple capacities that saw the light of day at varying degrees of brightness: indie film shoots, theater productions, podcasts, staged readings, nonfiction prose... While that certainly happened some in NY, the vibe in LA was so different! EVERYONE I met seemed to be doing SOMETHING creative & ACTIVELY trying to bring it to life.

📸 Creator @celiaaurora7, director Sabrina (whose face I covered, because while I ❤️ this pic, I remember she didn't wanna be visible this way online) & me during a photo shoot for 'Incredible Girl,' a digital series that was the 1st filmed thing I was paid to write. Never ended up getting made, but we had fun trying & we ended up w/some sweet footage. It's on YouTube, if you're interested.

2 - NURTURING MY GEEKY SIDE
I've been a geek my whole life, but when I got to LA & could actually hang out w/people I'd only ever gotten to know online or at conventions, because they all seemed to live here, or I could attend cons that were out of reach before because I was closer to where they happened (like SDCC or Geek Girl Con), my geek life became next-level. It was good both for my pop culture writing career & for my soul.

3 - MEETING MY PEOPLE
While most of my closest people are still in NY, when I moved here, I started meeting new folks that I not only could get close to, but who were working hard to live creative lives like I am. I also got to know a couple of friends from NY better because they'd also moved out here! Heather (friend from hs) preceded me & was one of my first soft places to land. Adam (former roommate/current bestie) & his wife followed me out here & we were writing partners for a while until we weren't. Still close friends, though.

Celebrating 1,000 episodes of Big Brother and the Cookout being voted the best alliance in Big Brother history! To be amongst so many players I’ve watched and absolutely loved over the years has been so surreal. Five years ago, I stepped into the Big Brother house, and now I get to be a part of moments like this. So grateful for this experience! ❤️
