Danielle DiFerdinando of @dnhandbags got her lucky break as a Finalist at the Handbag Awards in 2010 with a chance meeting of someone who was a sponsor of a category. Our 2019 Finalist @l_.yucel reached out to me saying she was ready to be more creative and expand. I know when connections have value especially through The Handbag Awards. This is the community I speak of on our IG stories. This is what we are going to do with our members. Well, we can’t wait to see the bags that will be coming out from @dnhandbags know that Danielle is so involved and @my_green_daydream is part of it.

This month in NYC at the Independent Handbag Designer Awards 2019. I didn‘t win, but it was a fun night with a bunch of incredible individuals and talented HB Designers from all over the world! 🌎🌈 I‘m very happy that I was one of the 40 finalists and part of such a superior event! Thank you @handbagdesigner Emily and @pinatex for the nomination and this amazing platform.❤️ There is a lot to learn&improve, but i‘ll keep trying! 💪🏽🙌🏽💫

Last night’s 2018 Boroughbred Ball was SO 👏🏼WONDERFUL👏🏼 Thank you to the powerful animal advocate and event chair @georginabloomberg for introducing me to the work of @NYCACC! I am blown away at all they accomplish. They are NYCs ONLY open door animal shelter, open 24 hours / day, 7 days per week. They do not turn away ANY animal and are on a mission to end animal homelessness in NYC through direct adoption, partnerships with more than 200 animal placement organizations, responding to public calls, awareness campaigns and more. Last night’s honorees included @FindShadow, @muttscomics creator Patrick McDonnell (who encouraged everyone in the audience to go #vegan over a delicious #plantbased meal!) and the team of marketers from @wunderman behind the impactful NYC #Boroughbred campaign. And @joe_gatto was a fantastic emcee. I met several adorable adoptable dogs -@nickgarin and I were very tempted to adopt a 2nd dog!!!- and BTW there is currently a dog named “General Kisses” at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center ready for his forever home if you’re looking for an animal companion.
