Remodeling Residence Acquario until Sept 15th @lfa_office💐💐💐💐💐💐 […]Agudio designs the planters exhibited in the Neapolitan exhibition following all the phases implicated in an industrial production scheme, relying, though, on the support of a single craftsman. Subsequently, he includes a drawing, Oggetto chiave (Key object), 2023, (marker and ink pens, rhinestone stickers, glazed wooden frame; 33 x 48 cm) and two nocturnal photographs taken by his father, Residence acquario I and II, 2016 (print on pure cotton baryta paper. 25 x 36 cm.) Going back to Fachinelli's illuminations, it occurs to me that Claustrum in Latin means key, lock, bolt and the like; only much later did it come to mean closed place. Oggetto chiave (Key object), 2023, then is the perfect synthesis of an experience of double, of coincidence: a drawing by his father, made by tracing the knurled contours of a component belonging to one of his sculptures. Agudio finds it in the garage, adds some glittering stickers to it and frames it. In the same way, by remodeling the furniture from his parents' house, he dismantles the semantic cosmos that has included it for the past twenty-seven years, and produces three new designs. My exhibition opens next week in Naples at @lfa_office ❤️💐 💐💐 Remodeling @residenceacquario @residenceacquario opening July 1st from 5pm 2 Luglio - 15 Settembre 2023 by appointment (DM or mail@lacatenafinearts.com) LFA, Via Toledo 292 80132, Napoli IT Residence Acquario, 2016 print on pure cotton baryta paper 35 x 26 cm / 13.80 x 10.23 inches Ed. 3 + II AP Courtesy the Artist and Fanta-MLN, Milano ….. The remodeling process by which Agudio designs the three new sculptures exhibited at his first solo presentation in Naples, is influenced by the study of a specific interior context (his familiar habitat since the mid-1990s) an environment informed by aesthetic categories that have been embraced as intimate expressions of systems of meaning. To each artwork corresponds a particular piece of furniture coming from Residence Acquario - a housing compound located in the outskirts of Monza, in Brianza. The surreality of those rooms responds to a typical provincial imagery characterized by the ubiquitous trends of the Italian Export straddling the new Millennium. Very thankful for @fanta_mln and their generosity, allowing this unforgettable collaboration. #ALESSANDROAGUDIO @aleagudio #REMODELING #RESIDENCEACQUARIO @residenceacquario #FEDEREXPORT #LacatenaFineArts @lfa_office
