POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

10 days after my Fall Equinox Retreat 🍁 at @groundworks.space, I’m still mentally there. I can still feel the warmth of the fire, the vibrations of our breath, and the sounds of the chickens (all 27 of them!) It was my joy and privilege to be in community with this great group and, in sangha सङ्घ, dive deep into the practice. In 4 bountiful days we:

• Explored asana, meditation, and the breath 🌬️
• Shared music, stories, poems, creativity, kirtan 📿
• Foraged and crafted cyanotypes with @mckdekuyper 🌿
• Examined pelvic floor awareness with @duihatamassage 🩻
• Played with new perspectives in inversions 🙃
• Gifted ourselves deep rest in Yoga Nidra 💤
• Rang in the Fall Equinox with 108 Sun Salutations at sunrise 🌞

This is but a snapshot of the magic we co-created in the embrace of Groundworks. THANK YOU to the Groundworks family - Kristen, Maddie, Frank, and their pups Hazel and Ivy. You made this a home with arms wide open. Thank you to @duihatamassage and @mckdekuyper for their partnership, intention and care. And thank you to everyone who joined. A retreat is only as expansive as the group that brings it to life. I am filled with gratitude to the energy each and every one of you contributed.

Surya Namaskar सूर्यनमस्कार (Sun Salutation) is the practice of bowing to the sun. The sun’s energy is found in all life on earth, including each of us. When we bow to the light above us, we bow to the light within us, and all around us. On this retreat, I observed everyone bowing to the light within themselves, and to the light of those around them. Whether in reps of 1 or 108, we all bowed in devotion and dedication ☀️

Thank you for letting me take the seat of the teacher.
In heartfelt gratitude, I bow to you. Namaste 🕉️

P.S. And of course – thank you to the Chickens ❤️🐓❤️ See you next year!

Being 32 was pretty sick. Got married, participated in a yoga retreat, went to Japan, Squamish, and some other cool places! Going to be hard to beat, but double 3‘s is lucky, no?

Hope to see you all during my next rotation.
