TW:WLS;VSG:ED Today marks 1 week since my favorite Dweller set, and in two days it’ll be my 9-month VSG month-versary (sp? lol). Somewhere in that timing, grief kinda overwhelmed & froze me with fear.

The dysmorphia between my physical self and my intrinsic self has been debilitating. I’m still here, though. A baddie in transit. I look like a baddie in this photo, but I didn’t feel like one until I started dancing. I miss my plumpness, the jiggle of my hips, and I hate all this loose skin mapping my body, but I’m shaking this loose, skinny ass anyway, reluctantly.

I still don’t know how to fully alchemize my feelings inside this new body. The dancefloor feels like practice right now. Looking out from the booth made me hopeful. Growing up being called a weird ass Oreo, to now standing in a room with 599 other weirdos like me… it made everything feel worth it.

Thank you for coming, for dancing, for crying, for hugging me. In my vulnerability, I feel embarrassed that my personal experiences are my primary source of inspiration instead of external validation. My body is the praxis of my work, and that reality is jarring.

Worry, fear, relief, grief, desire… it all oozes out of me and into my crates. Can the dancefloor tell? I feel like a baby learning to walk, constantly looking up for reassurance, except I am both the baby and the adult. So if I’m emotionally all over the place, or dancing harder than usual, know I’m choosing to feel instead of ruminate. I’m doing, happy dweller ❤️‍🔥

Biiiiiig love to @operationbringtheheat for putting together such a special night at @paragonbroadway. They raised over $7600 to support immigrants & their families who have been affected by
I🧊E 🚫!!!!!

In times like this, community is truly everything and it's beautiful to see so many DJs and creatives come together to support this cause. Immigrants in our country are being terrorized and their families torn apart by I🧊E, and it's our responsibility to come together to speak loudly against this evil. Even more important to contribute wherever you can, whether it's with money or your art or any other force you have. I have so much respect for amazing folks like @nextdimensional who are putting serious work into fundraising efforts like this!!!

Also this was not only my first time playing at @paragonbroadway but ALSOO my first time playing b2b with the amazingggg @idktallboy and we had SO much fun🥹❤️❤️

Thanks to everyone who made this night possible, and thanks to everyone who donated!!!! AND F*CK I🧊E 🖕🚫
