What a singularly sacred thing it is to watch someone you love do what lights them up inside. I’m so proud of you @grettaray and all that you are. Celebrating 10 years of your melodies and deepest feelings was a joy 🥹 As was the grand reveal of the secret I’ve felt so honoured to keep for all these months. You know how I feel about Heartsong 🫀 and I can’t wait for people to hear these songs that you’ve poured yourself into. I know what this chapter has been for you; the grit amongst the glitter and the feeling of fighting to get it all back. This album (out October 30th and available for preorder now) is going to be a balm for so many… Thank you for a wonderful night @theoxfordartfactory and for giving me new memories with darling @liamheyen and @lilysimonsenn 🤩 Loved it all from pop girly Gretta and the return of bouncing for “You’ve Already Won” to holy remembrance for @dollyparton and that ethereal unplugged Jolene with @katedwards__ and @rupertbullardmusic ✨ Live music forever please! ‘JIMPA’ draait eindelijk in de Nederlandse bioscopen 🏳️‍🌈 Toen ik hoorde dat de iconische @sophhyde een super persoonlijke film met Olivia Colman, John Lithgow en badass @audmasonhyde ging maken die deels in Amsterdam draaide wilde mijn queer hartje natuurlijk niets liever dan er op een manier onderdeel van uitmaken. Dat dat is gelukt is zo leuk!!! (Prijsvraag in de comments voor wie AL m’n tekst in deze film kan citeren.🤘) Ga kijken want dit zijn hele lieve, bijzondere en eigenzinnige makers, die in deze dystopische tijd een radicaal empathische film hebben gemaakt die mildheid voorop stelt. 💜 Om er op het @iffr ook nog een Big Talk over te mogen modereren was een voorrecht (en een doodenge first). Dat werd een interessant gesprek - ook met de zaal - over verantwoordelijkheid als maker/acteur in dit vak.🏳️‍⚧️ Deze film benadert in ieder geval drie generaties queer levens met de liefde die ze verdienen. It has meant so much to me to screen SAINT VALENTINE at @sydfilmfest as one of the seven excellent Dendy Awards finalists for Best Live Action Australian Short Film. It was magical to see the film on the big screen for the first time in the company of hundreds of friends and strangers. Can’t wait to take it on to Palm Springs @psfilmfest now! I was at the last month at The 33rd Mardi Gras Film Festival (MGFF26), presented by @queerscreen ( February 12–26, 2026)in Sydney, and was a part in the “Pride in Film” Industry Development Series. Key Industry Panel -An insightful industry panel was held, featuring filmmakers and producers discussing authentic storytelling, production, and authorship. I had the honour of sharing the space with producers @notvicbrandt (She’s the He) and @liamheyen ( Jimpa) and moderated by the wonderful festival director @queerhow . It was absolutely fascinating to hear about challenges of production, distribution and casting across 3 continents and 3 very different film industries ( US/ Australia and India )
