“And in the distance, I could see the sparkling lights of Laramie, Wyoming.” -Andy Paris, The Laramie Project

Wow, they really weren’t kidding when they said your time at college flies by. Thank you guys for such a memorable last show here at USC, I’m going to miss this. I was so lucky to be in a cast filled with such kind and talented people, and I can’t wait to see where everyone goes❤️ Savour every moment you have here because it really will go by so much faster than you expect🎓

(I apologize for the sappy post below feel free to disregard but I’m emotional and dramatic so sorry!)

I don’t think I’ve ever performed alongside such a talented, committed, hilarious, and supportive cast/crew. Everyone of you inspired me to be kinder, more compassionate, and more motivated not just as an actor but as a person. Let alone also getting to perform with a lot of queer people in a queer play which I rarely got the chance to do when I was younger.

I truly believe everything happens for a reason and I found it ironic that I performed in this play during my junior year of college, and while I was in my junior year in high school (around this same time in spring) a play was canceled because there was a gay character in it. As much as I may be just reading into this and it’s probably just a coincidence it reminds me how important telling these kinds of stories is. This play reminded me why I switched into the theatre major in the first place. To promote change.

Keep telling your own stories and never let anyone tell you to STOP telling your story. From doing this play, I’ve learned how to humanize the people you disagree with, how to show up for my community and for other communities, and how to never stay silent. I’ll never forget this as my first MainStage at USC and Laramie will always be sparking in my heart just like this whole cast will. Love you all. 🩵
