✨ Meet Miss Libby! ✨

We’re so excited to have Miss Libby as part of the JDM Dance Family this season! 💜

💫 Her Story
Originally from the Cincinnati, Ohio area, Miss Libby began dancing at just 4 years old, training in jazz, hip hop, ballet, tap, and pom. As a competitive dancer, she became a USASF World Champion in Senior Large Co-Ed Hip Hop and a runner-up in Senior Large All-Girl Hip Hop. She also competed at UDA High School Nationals before continuing her dance career at the collegiate level.

🩰 Her Experience
Miss Libby earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky, where she spent four years as a member of the University of Kentucky Dance Team. After graduation, she spent the 2024–2025 NFL season as a Cincinnati Ben-Gals Cheerleader. Along the way, she has worked with dancers ages 6–18+ through dance camps, game-day performances, and the Junior Ben-Gals program.

💜 Why She Loves Teaching
Miss Libby loves being a positive role model for young dancers and helping them see just how much they’re capable of. Her goal is to help every dancer build confidence, dream big, and know that with hard work and determination, they can accomplish incredible things.

👑 A Fun Fact
Outside of JDM, Miss Libby is a group fitness instructor and loves all things health and fitness. She’s also incredibly creative and loves rhinestoning — she even rhinestoned a pair of cleats for NFL wide receiver CeeDee Lamb!

😮‍💨 2025 was a year for the books!

If I’m being completely honest,
when I scrolled through my camera roll,
I did not recognize the Katie from the January archives.
I felt like I’ve lived multiple lives
throughout the course of 12 months.

Maybe that’s because so much
unexpected has happened.
Maybe that’s because life’s different now.
Maybe that’s because *I’m* different now.

Whatever the reason,
I’m really grateful God has
brought me through another year.

Cheers to 2026 🥂

women supporting women 🤝 I’ve never felt this way before—

I went to my first powerlifting meet today to watch a couple of friends compete.

I felt something there I had never felt before.

I felt—-normal.

Here were women.
Strong women.
Women who were confident in the gym.
Women who were not afraid to be strong.
Women who were happy, kind and feminine,
And yet—-women who were making goals,
hitting PRs, and pushing themselves to be better.

As a teenager and now young adult,
there was always this pressure to be more
of a “girls girl” —
to be a lady and lean into my femininity.

And yet I longed to be tough.
I longed to be strong.
I wanted to feel like I could handle myself should the need arise.

I felt stuck—stuck in the middle of not wanting to lose my femininity but also wanting to be able to kick butt if I had to.

But when I walked into that meet today, and I saw GIRLS who lifted HEAVY weights, I saw both sides of my heart mix into a kaleidoscope of beautiful colors—-and I felt normal.

The gym and exercise field can be intimidating to a lot of women because it is usually male dominated. I wish more women could feel the benefits of strengthening their minds and bodies in the gym. There’s a freedom that comes from challenging yourself to be healthier and better for yourself and the people around you.

Women can be STRONG &
Women can be BEAUTIFUL & FEMININE
AT THE SAME TIME. 🩷🩵🤍

Here’s to more strong, beautiful, athletic women. 🤝

I was selected to join @thebeautyboostcincy Ambassador again for the 2026 Season!✨

What does this mean?! I am going to be helping out behind the scenes with The Beauty Boost! A community created to help women feel empowered, healthy, and beautiful!
AKA: A space for adult women in Cincinnati to make friends!💓 (finally 🙌🏼)

There are 1-3 Events every single month, and I’d love for you to join me at one! (OR Grab their “Year Pass” so we can hang out all season!) 💃 This is just a small look at the many events I attended in the past year. 🤩
