Hi everyone, I’m Libby. 👋
This is how I found me.
I found me in the depths of my own fashioned misery.
I found myself in my pain, in the heart wrenching moments when I felt abandoned by life itself.
I found myself in rainy days spent cuddling on the couch with my kids when they were still small enough I could hold them in my arms.
When I wiped away my own tears because no one else was there for me.
I found me when everyone left, when I pushed them all away, when no one was left but me & Jesus.
I found me when I died. When I wa sent back with such a strong passionate mission.
I found me in that forest away from my ocean. I found myself in the laughter & giddiness of singing my soul out to God.
I found myself in paintings, in cooking & baking & cleaning. In the mundane every day workings of life.
I’ve struggled too much. I’ve survived too much. I’ve gained too much knowledge. I’ve shared parts of me with people who didn’t deserve me. I’ve lived in a body cursed by EDS. I’ve lived in a body blessed by EDS. I’ve wasted my eyesight looking at useless things.
I’ve just feels like I’ve lived so long it feels like I’ve lived several lives all at once.
I’m glad I traded scrolling through news channels for lifting weights.
I traded vaping for sunflower seeds.
I traded my past for my future.

In 12 days I’ll celebrate my 4 year anniversary of the night I died. The night I truly was reborn. The night that brought me almost full circle back to my ocean, back to my beach, back to where it all began - before I knew me.

When you pray for a new life - don’t be surprised when God gives it to you. Be blessed you lived to tell everyone you got a 2nd chance for the 9th time.

I am falling in love with myself.

Before I tell you how this year is ending for me, I’ll share how it started. In January we left the middle of the forest we escaped to a year prior to come back to California. A ton of YOU helped us get back here & I’m forever grateful to those of you that helped make that happen. In February we were homeless, angry, lost & beaten down by life. By March we got into an apt & back at square1- into the matrix we fought so hard to get away from. March also brought me a 2nd shingles outbreak which I promptly ignored with Benadryl & being a “busy homeschooling mom.” I barely got through April & May. The leftover inflammation & nerve damage caused Trigeminal Neuralgia to take over the left side of my head for 3 months. In my animated expressions one evening while talking with my husband in May, I smacked my head into our bedpost & unknowingly gave myself a massive concussion. By July the confusion, headaches & pain were too debilitating so I sought help. I was quickly diagnosed with severe post concussion syndrome & referred to more specialists. One led to another & another, test after test after test…past health events I neglected like the SVT attack, seizure & subsequent NDE I experienced May 19th, 2022 that led me to start this entire IG; I had to finally deal with over 2-1/2 years later. Which brings me to the last 3 months of my life. I’ve learned I have a heart condition called MVP - Mitral Valve Prolapse with regurgitation, severe Dysautonomia & hEDS. I’ve been highly symptomatic w/heart palpitations, breathlessness, chest pain, low & high blood pressure to mention a few.And apparently what used to be a cyst on my right shoulder is now a tumor that needs to be removed & biopsied. I’m not thrilled about all this & to make matters worse work has been very scarce so we’re also doing terribly financially.So although I’m going into the New Year needing to have surgery with a lot of unknowns & many “what ifs”, I have something I haven’t had in years; REAL friends that are more like family, my husband & children, a small amazing community of homeschooling, kickass mamas I get to be apart of, all of YOU & my Jesus. Bring on 2025-God isn’t done with me yet!

This may be one of the hardest posts I’ve done here. Believe it or not I really don’t like to be vulnerable. I really don’t like to appear weak or scared or anxious. I may be a warrior in many ways, seemingly strong or brave to many of you but on the inside I’m still very much a scared little girl in a scary world out to get me… just like I felt growing up.. all you may know of me is what you’ve seen on this feed..& that’s ok, that’s what I wanted to show you…. Until now.

It’s not easy picking up an old dream at 40+ years old. It’s even harder with excuses. And I have a lot of them. But at the end of my days here I need to be able to know I really, really, REALLY tried, otherwise what was the point of the dream to begin with? What even was the dream? Was it to become the best artist? Was it to be a paid artist? Or was it just to be here with the paints? - I don’t even remember anymore then again I don’t care anymore. What I do remember is how good it feels to be here with the colors, with my canvas, my brushes, my palette knives & myself. I’m pretty sure now even if I never sell another painting as long as I live, I’ll be ok so long as I remember why I started again, again to begin with.

With the amazing help of my incredibly, artistically talented daughter & the help of my husband we've made the mission God put on my heart since last May into a reality with this "2045 look it up" design!
Now we can share an important piece of the puzzle with those around us without even saying a word. Unless you want to. 😉

👉🏼A portion of the proceeds from all 2045 items will go towards funding a billboard with the same design to wake the masses!!

MY SHOP IS OPEN!!!👚🥳👕🗽🇺🇸✝️

When I opened my sketchpad over two years ago I knew I wanted to sketch something special to represent me but I had no idea what that would be. When I saw an old iconic Rosie the Riveter image, I knew I was getting closer to what I saw in my mind. One day about 2 years ago, I finally decided to use a self portrait to create what I wanted to see on paper. I posed, snapped a picture, envisioned her & started sketching. 🥰
Then I decided she needed some words so I added how I felt about myself in this upside down world.
And of course I needed something for my husband so I asked him for his input & got to work.
It's taken months of tears, frustration, giving up & starting over, countless sleepless nights, mistake after mistake after mistake to finally get it all right.

So now I finally get to introduce you to the 1st 2 images in my "Liberty" collection. Miss. America & Mr. America - modern day version.😉

This is why my husband, our 5 year old son, our husky puppy & I traded our 2+2 apartment W/ a 2 car garage just 10 minutes from the beautiful coastline of #huntingtonbeach for the #rvlifestyle 🚐just 2 months ago. (A 26 foot rv we are stillllll remodeling 🥱)
This is why I create so many different things over at @state.ofthe.arts 🎨 with the goal of completely breaking free of their #matrix machine by working for myself & 😊you😊 instead of them.
This is why I'd rather live a ❤️passionate, no holding myself back, inconvenient for some - perfect for me life every day. Yep, EVERY DAY. I insist on ENJOYING my life, especially after the hell I've lived through & the death Jesus ✝️ saved me from just 5 months ago.
This is why we are choosing to sacrifice some of the comforts & conveniences of "modern life".
I'd rather have direct sunlight vs fake blue light bulbs all around me & my child.
I'd rather eat pure, real food that I get to nurture, to grow, to raise, pick, harvest, pluck, butcher, cook up into a delicious meal for my loved ones vs drive in traffic, hunt for parking, sift through labels, pay wayyy too much for real food in a brightly light store - even one I like.
I'd rather live the majority of my days outside bare footed in the dirt, grass & sunshine then in heels, full makeup & fakeness.
I'd rather be deeply connected to a few people nearby me then to hardly know anyone in a crowd of "friends".
I'd rather wear the same few items of clothes I truly LOVE then fancy designer way overpriced crap.

I'd rather be hated for being myself, living a life I love then to have anyone like me.

I pray you do too.

A friend gave us this product because she can't use it with her pain pump. I woke up with a level 9 migraine this morning so I decided to try it.

The intensity was a bit strong so I took it off after 20 minutes but my headache went down from a nine to a four!

We cannot say enough about this product. Five stars. Highly recommended. @cefalyuk

Sometimes I still find myself very sad that the dreams I had for myself are not the dreams God had planned for me.
At least it seems not now.
I started this painting over two years ago soon after I got my first pair of scleral contact lenses. It began as something completely different & ended up as this. This little glimpse of peaceful beach and garden scene overlooking the ocean. My little piece of heaven, my happy place…..
This is still the largest painting I’ve ever made. When I found the impasto painting style back then I fell even more in love with painting. It was perfect for me. See these eyes of mine don’t work like yours, they never have. So I’ve always had to use my sense of touch, my intuition. Because I can’t trust with my eyes, however I can always trust what I feel.
And this feels like the ending of a book I never even got to finish writing.
