🎉 10 Years, 10 Pantries! 🎉

We are proud to announce the opening of our 10th Hygiene Pantry, now located at Bensley Community Center, 2900 Drewrys Bluff Road, Richmond, VA 23237, just off Jefferson Davis Highway.

This milestone represents 10 years of community impact, compassion, and neighbors helping neighbors. Through our pantry initiative, we continue working to ensure that essential hygiene resources are available to those who need them most.

As always, our pantry motto remains:

💙 Take what you need. Leave what you can. 💙

Thank you to everyone who has supported this mission over the years. Together, we are building a community that responds to basic human needs and helps restore dignity for all.

Honored to be one of the artists creating a custom mailbox for this year’s Shindig for Shelter with HomeAgain.

At HomeAgain, a mailbox represents so much more than mail — it symbolizes stability, belonging, and the feeling of finally having a place to call home. That idea became the inspiration behind this piece and a reminder of why this work matters.

Art has always been about connection for me, and I’m grateful to use my work to support a mission rooted in helping people find home again.

Join HomeAgain at their annual Shindig for Shelter this Friday and place your bid on the custom artist-designed mailboxes created in support of their mission. ✨

Today is the final day to experience Table of Resilience!

Come spend your Saturday with us at @bhmva and take in this powerful exhibition presented by @liberatedflow that centers stories of strength, memory, and community.

While you’re here, explore Arthur Ashe: An Enduring Legacy, an immersive experience honoring Richmond’s own global icon and the impact he continues to have across generations.

And there is so much to see throughout the museum! Our gift shop is open with meaningful items for Black History Month. This is a great opportunity to support Black local artists and take home pieces that reflect Virginia’s rich history and creativity!

We’re open today from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Contributing artists for A Table of Resilience: Ashley Briggs, Sharon Brinkley, Lizzie Brown, Nova Janela Goode-Williams, Simone Hollingsworth, Natasha Payne-Brunson, Amil Richardson, Toine Rob (Christversal), Sone-Seré Burrell, Virginia Coleman, Mya DeJesus, Kelly Johnson, David Marion, Amuri Morris, Faithe Norrell, Nasiar Nurse, Melchisedeck Shabazz, Ron Stokes, Sherron Wallace, and Ashley White.

This is the last weekend to experience the Table of Resilience at @bhmva . We are so grateful for the amazing response to this exhibition. We'd like to thank all of the amazing artists and participants that shared stories and their testimonies through art. Also a special thank you to the Black History Museum of Virginia for allowing us space to create, inspire and tell these inspiring stories.

Sidenote: Also checkout the amazing Arthur Ashe exhibition that is now on display (sneak peek in the reel).

I was really tempted to stay home last Saturday when it was gray and rainy…but I’m so glad I went to this exhibit instead! The documentary of people telling their stories may be about Black life, but a chunk of life happens around kitchen tables for most of us, no matter our ethnicity. It was a beautiful, positive way to end a dark, disturbing week. Go if you can!

Our hearts are still incredibly full from the outpouring of love and support for our latest exhibition "Table of Resilience" on display at @bhmva . We laughed, shared stories of resilience and witnessed incredible testimonies. Thanks to our community for showing up and supporting this vision of ours. Special thanks also to the phenomenal artists and community leaders that participated in this exhibition. We didn't get any photos of the artists talk but it was an incredible discussion. Also we'd like to thank the Black History Museum of Virginia for always supporting us and allowing us the opportunity to curate meaningful exhibitions that tell our stories.

Art is still on display and available for purchase until January 24th! Be sure check it out and support these incredible artists! Link for art purchases are in our bio.
