🏐 THADDEA SPOTLIGHT ATHLETE 🏐 ⭐ AVERY HUMMEL ⭐ 📍 OTVA | Berkeley Preparatory School 🏐 Position: Libero / Defensive Specialist (DS) COURAGEOUS HEART. COMPETITIVE SPIRIT. TEAM-FIRST MENTALITY. 💙 Meet Avery Hummel, a dedicated libero/DS who has spent 7 years building her game, embracing competition, and learning what it truly means to be a great teammate. Avery’s greatest strength is her ability to stay calm and steady under pressure. Currently recovering from an ACL, MCL, and meniscus injury, she’s using this time to grow mentally, strengthen her leadership, and prepare to return stronger than ever. 💪🏽 🏆 BIG-TIME ACCOMPLISHMENT: 🥈 2nd Place — USAV Junior Nationals, Open Division (15s Club Season) 📚 ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE: 4.0 GPA 🎯 COLLEGE GOAL: NCAA Division I 🔥 HER MINDSET: Accountability, leadership, relentless improvement, and making everyone around her better. Avery understands that success is about more than wins, awards, or personal accomplishments. She wants to leave a lasting impact by helping others grow, building meaningful relationships, and inspiring people to believe in themselves. 💬 AVERY’S MESSAGE TO THE NEXT GENERATION: “Don’t spend your whole career trying to be the best player in the gym. Work to become the player who makes everyone around you better.” Talent may open doors, but character determines the impact you leave behind. THAT is what separates a good athlete from a great teammate and an even greater person. 👏🏽 ❤️ THADDEA STANDS FOR COURAGEOUS HEARTS. We celebrate athletes who embrace challenges, lead with character, and understand that their impact goes far beyond the game. Avery, keep fighting, keep growing, and keep believing. Your comeback is another opportunity to show the world who you are! MORE THAN AN ATHLETE. A COURAGEOUS HEART. ❤️‍🔥 #THADDEASpotlight #Libero #ComebackStronger #MoreThanAnAthlete #volleyball

@byuwvolleyball commit @halle_bryce comes to @cpafacility to make sure that her technique and her situational IQ is on point. Consistency and developing certain situations that she’s gonna face at the high school level as well as the college level is going to be the thing that makes her a young lady who can achieve at both levels. Consistency in the feet, consistency in the touch, consistency in understanding how to move on the court. These are things that make a player high-level at the high school level and the college level. She’s gonna do well at her current level. She’s gonna do well with the next level. Because she prepares.
