Celebrating my bestie with an incredible dinner at Library Wine & Provisions in Gonzales! 🥂🤎

A special shoutout to Chef Rey — every dish was absolutely incredible, beautifully prepared and made the whole experience one to remember. 👏🏼🔥 Thank you to GM Rob, our wonderful server and the entire team for making Stacey’s birthday so special!

And that flaming dessert was the perfect finale! 🔥🎂✨

The summer food tour continues at Library Wine & Provisions 🍽️

Started with the BLISTERED SHISHITO PEPPERS — charred Brussels sprouts, wasabi miso, curried goat cheese, and spiced peanuts creating the perfect balance of smoky heat and creaminess.

Kept it smooth with an Anziano Pinot Grigio from Italy, then switched gears with the El Corazon cocktail featuring tequila blanco, lime, grapefruit, thyme syrup, and guava.

Closed the night with a stuffed redfish over crabmeat & crawfish risotto that felt like elevated Louisiana comfort food done right.

And to finish it all off, I had the Library Special for dessert — a flamed bread pudding that sealed the deal perfectly. #ktceatz

As you know, I love a well crafted cocktail! When I travel, I bring not only a list of attractions and restaurants but cocktail bars as well. In the past two months I have been exploring my home states, Louisiana and Florida. Above are some of the e collect cocktails that have crossed my lips.

FYI, for my South Louisiana friends Ascension Parish’s cocktail trail is open for the summer season. Stop my their new tourism office in the Tanger Mall and start sipping.

My wife and I were long overdue for a date night. Our schedules can get complicated at times and we’ve always believed in making time for each other. No matter how busy we get. So we chose Library because it’s been on our list for months now and we found it the perfect time for us to visit. Our experience was incredible! The ambiance is so sleek and sexy with its dimly lit lighting. The service was great and the food was even more incredible! I definitely recommend this place if you haven’t been already. Fellas thrown on that suit, ladies throw on that dress and treat yourselves often to each other’s company. And go see the folks over at Library and tell them That Guy sent ya 😉 #youshouldeatwiththatguy #who #thatguywiththefork #batonrougefoodie #batonrouge

Page-turner of a menu. The hummus? Velvet. The wagyu flatbread? Decadence dressed as casual. And don’t even get me started on the other sharables — they read like plot twists, each one more dramatic than the last.

The cocktails? Literary in their own right. From chapter one to the epilogue, every sip is smooth, captivating, and just a little bit dangerous.

📚 This isn’t just dinner — it’s a novel you don’t want to end.

Neighborhood Spotlight: Library Wine & Provisions ✨

This menu is divine! If you haven’t been yet—run, don’t walk! Make sure to try the lamb chops… beyond incredible (honestly, the whole menu is).

And the best part? It’s just down the road from our luxury townhomes at Preserve at Old Dutchtown!
