It took me a few days to make this video because every time I tried, my emotions took over. Then I realized something. This moment is not about how hard it is for me to let go. This moment is about him. 🩶

My baby boy is officially beginning his college journey, and my heart is full. Full of pride. Full of gratitude. Full of memories of the little boy I raised and the young man standing before me today.

Deuce, watching you step into this new chapter is one of the proudest moments of my life. I have watched you grow, work hard, overcome challenges, and become a young man with so much ahead of you. As your mother, there will always be a part of me that wants to keep you close, protect you, and make sure everything is okay. But I also know I raised you for this moment. To grow. To go. To become.

My prayer is that God covers you every single day. That He protects you when I am not there to do it myself. That He gives you wisdom when decisions are difficult, strength when the days get hard, and discernment about the people and opportunities you encounter. I pray you never forget who you are, whose you are, or how deeply you are loved.

Go experience life, baby boy. Learn. Grow. Make mistakes. Find your way. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Build friendships. Chase your dreams. And when life gets heavy, remember you always have a home and a mama praying for you.
