Es una celebración de los lazos fraternales, un símbolo de afecto fraternal que se observa en la mayoría de las comunidades indias del mundo. Según el calendario hindú, Raksha Bandhan se celebra en el mes de Shravana, durante el día de luna llena o Purnima.

Raksha Bandhan se celebra cuando las hermanas atan un cordón sagrado, llamado rakhi, en las muñecas de sus hermanos, simbolizando su vínculo y sus oraciones por su bienestar. Los hermanos, a su vez, prometen proteger a sus hermanas y suelen regalarles regalos como muestra de afecto. El festival es una celebración del amor y la protección fraternal, en la que las familias suelen reunirse para compartir comida y bendiciones.

Somos 5 hermanas (primas hermanas) y también nos atamos Rakhi entre nosotras, no solo a los hermanos. 🥰

The first time I ever danced with @the_boy_who_spins and then became forever obsessed!

Please don’t look at me, I was very nervous, only look at him. He’s amazing!

Did some private classes with him for salsa before I leave for Bali and I learnt SO MUCH! Highlight recommend for those who want to level up their salsa!

🌳The waterfall is inside Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary.

🚗 You will need a car/scooty to get here. It took us 1 hour from @thelosthostels

🗺 The google map location is accurate.

💦We went to the second waterfall which has a shorter hike. It’s 3km from the entry point.

🕰Go early morning to have the whole place to yourself. We left at 5am in the morning.

🔊Speaker and loud music is not allowed.

🍻Alcohol, nicotine and any other such substances are not allowed.

🚶‍♀️It’s a 15 minute hike downwards to the waterfall.

🐡 There are fish in the water and they will nibble at you. Don’t get scared. It’s free fish pedicure!

🥗 Carry your own food because there are no vendors there.

❌ Don’t litter. If you see someone else’s litter, pick it up! Feels good to leave a place better than you found it.
