This past Saturday I catered for the Open House // Open Field Day at @kindredforestmo and ended up staying for the suuuper delicious outdoor cooking class with Chef April from @fennel.stl 👩‍🍳🥘🪵🔥

Every single time I leave Kindred Forest I feel so refreshed and grounded. Something about being out in the trees with a bunch of chill, like-minded “kindred” humans just does something good to my nervous system lol 🌿

Already excited to come back.

If you’ve never heard of Kindred Forest MO and are curious about it, message me and I’d be happy to connect you ✨

In November, I cooked for my final retreat of the year at @kindredforestmo for an Ayurvedic Retreat hosted by @joyofyogastl.

The weekend moved at a slower, more intentional pace—meals built around seasonal ingredients, thoughtful spice blends, and cooking methods that support digestion while still feeling generous and deeply satisfying. The height and celebration of the retreat was a shared lunch of wild-caught Alaskan salmon, slow-roasted with citrus and herbs, served over fragrant saffron rice with a jalapeño lime crema. Elevated, grounding, and meant to be enjoyed fully by the mind, body, and soul 🔥

Cooking in spaces like this—where food is unrushed, well-sourced, and treated with real care—reminds me why I do this work. Grateful to nourish people who GIVE so much back! Blessed to create my work (my art) in a way that feels honest, aligned, and deeply human.

What a FULL year of retreats 2025 brought me 😋🥗🍗🥘🍲🍛🍜🍳🥞🍨🥧🍰

I’m deeply proud of my growth this year—in skill, knowledge, creativity, and confidence. I truly found my medium in curating intentional menus and creating beautifully presented dishes using fresh produce—from local farm friends AND my own backyard garden 🪴

Special thank you to the incredible facilitators I had the joy of working with this year — @brooke__brasfield, @_nicoleboyer, and @joyofyogastlouis. And a big hug of gratitude to @kindredforestmo for welcoming me into their beautiful kitchen, time and time again. 🤍

Each retreat propelled me closer to a higher version of myself. Honestly, it’s been hard to leave each one—because I feel most like me when I’m in my creative flow in the kitchen. I’m constantly asking myself, “How can I do more of this?” And that’s exactly my intention for 2026: stepping closer and closer toward becoming a full-time food creative ✨

Beyond retreat chef work—and my discipline on the line at Olive & Oak—I’m feeling called toward the educational side of cooking. I’m even dreaming up my first-ever cooking retreat 🙌 And if we’re lucky… maybe my first virtual cookbook too.

So much is in the works, and I’m genuinely excited for all the changes 2026 is about to bring.

Working hard—but playing harder. 👩‍🍳🤸‍♀️

Cozy flavors, candlelight dinners, full belly’s, and heart-filled moments at the Love Within Retreat with @brooke__brasfield . Pumpkins, apples, and sage — oh my! 🎃 It was my way of saying “come on in” to this new Fall season 🍁

While Brooke and her participants soaked in the love of nature, breath, writing, and laughter, I spent the weekend in an adorable wooden cottage kitchen — tapping into my Love Within cooking. ♥️

Each retreat offers a sweet reminder that I am exactly where I’m meant to be — creating, serving, and sharing presence through each meal. I always leave feeling full — body, mind, and heart.

Special thank you to Brooke, @rosethompsonofficial, and every participant for making me feel so appreciated and thought after 💗 thank you for letting me feed you all!!

This weekend’s menu was rich in seasonal foods and herbs from local sources — including my own garden! 🌱

Highlights included Golden Harvest Kitchari with roasted delicata squash and cauliflower, and Autumn’s Chicken & Wild Rice Casserole 🍗 loaded with apples and freshly picked sage. I served Roasted Pumpkin Bowls filled with coconut chickpea curry 🎃🍛 and featured Maitake Mushrooms 🍄 from @ozark_forest_mushrooms_ on our open-faced grilled cheese “toasties,” made with smoked Gouda and rosemary Asiago 🧀 on demi baguettes 🥖 — paired perfectly with a Roasted Tomato Soup 🍅 crafted from garden-fresh cherry tomatoes and fennel. Morning favorites included Pumpkin Butter French Toast made with @knead_bakehouse sourdough, Spiced Porridge with stewed apples and nectarines, and Herb-Scrambled Eggs from @buttonwoodfarm , featuring beautiful opal basil from my garden 💜Evenings ended with Cacao Brownies smoothered in a strawberry compote, Pumpkin Cashew Cheesecake, and the soft glow of candlelight. 🍁✨

Spring has arrived, bringing with it a sense of renewal — and it feels so good to be back in my creative cooking flow. Back in February, I rediscovered my flow while cooking for the Master Healer retreat, facilitated by the incredibly energetic and knowledgeable @brooke__brasfield. I poured my knowledge, passion, and hard-earned skills into the beautiful cabin kitchen provided by @kindredforestmo , and believe me when I say no one left hungry that weekend!

The menu was plant-forward, centered around seasonal produce, locally sourced meats, and a fusion of medicinal flavors inspired by Ayurveda. Think anti-inflammatory spices like turmeric, ginger, fenugreek, hing, cumin, and fennel seeds, hearty slow-cooked stews and meats, and plenty of roasted veggies.

It was truly an honor to nourish this bright, warm, and loving group of humans with nutritious meals and bellyfuls of laughter!

A special thank you to @brooke__brasfield and @kindredforestmo for inviting me in and lifting me up. There’s something magical about working together in synergy!

If you haven’t come across @brooke__brasfield‘s work yet, she’s a Reiki master, a teacher, and an absolute delight to collaborate with.

Kindred Forest is a forest bathing retreat center that prioritizes inclusivity and believes that all forms of life deserve to be honored and respected. Founders Andrea & Jo Pang have created a truly special sanctuary space immersed in nature for those seeking inner peace.

I love being in the retreat space, and I’ve designed many unique and elevated menus to fuel and enrich participants. I’m looking forward to taking on more retreat work this year — and hopefully taking it on the road (saving up for a van!).

This past weekend for the Master Healer Retreat was a true dream. We began the weekend driving through 7 inches of snow on country roads to Bourbon, MO. As the weekend went on, we witnessed the snow thawing and the Earth coming into view. It was very much parallel to the growth and work we were all leaning into, together. Taking a moment to thaw, into the warmth and support each other, of the community around us.

The unity, support and vulnerability that was shown and held space for, takes my breath away and brings tears to my eyes.

To have the strength and courage to allow ourselves to thaw during a time, for some, that feels so hard, is one of the bravest things I witnessed and felt within this group of beautiful souls. Showing up and being brave being main themes throughout the weekend.

Each one of these beautiful beings, that showed up for themselves, will always have a special place in my heart. This land and the gratitude that was given to the land will always be remembered in my heart. The support by one of my dearest friends @sarahsegerco - I will forever be grateful for. The nourishment and love that was given through food by @josiebitesback @lifesourcemeals - I will always remember and will be returning to future retreats! The beautiful and nurturing hot stone restorative class for integration by @slow.steady.yoga - thank you, deeply, thank you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I will be forever grateful to this time - to come together in community, and unity, and support - to bring more light, joy, healing, and gratitude to ourselves, and therefore to the world around us.

This time is a gift. This life is a gift. The land, Mother Earth is a gift. Love will prevail.

Show and be love, my dear friends. ♥️

And if you are deeply desiring time in unity and in community - coming back to the homewithin you, coming back to the love within you - I have two more retreats that you can join me on this year at this property. Just go to the link in my bio to find out more information. Or reach out with any questions you may have. I am here for you. ♥️✨
