Lunges, lattes and a dang strong mom community (can’t forget about a delicious post-salad meal too) 💪🏼🤍

Every event since we started hosting them in April, we continue to build this village of strong af moms in YYC! What started as a small instagram page finding all the baby-friendly fitness spots, has now blossomed into a community that we didn’t know we needed!

📍Outdoor Workout with Larissa: Murdoch Park, Calgary (for my downtown + central babes)

🏋️‍♀️ Type of Workout: Outdoor Bodyweight Strength Circuit (don’t let the word “bodyweight” fool you into thinking it’s easy - we had lower, upper, cardio/core series in the circuit)

🗓️ Schedule: Monday’s at 10:00AM (weather permitting)

💲Pricing: FREE! (Yep, you heard that right)

🚗 Parking: Tons of free street parking near Murdoch Park

👶 Baby logistics: Babies of all ages (you probably call them your babies even though they might be 5 years old lol) are welcome! Bring whatever outdoor equipment or toys to keep your little one busy, or have them join the workout with you! Feed or change babies as needed to your comfortability level (outdoor public space - I’m pretty care free and will breastfeed but everyone has their preferences!) So many kiddos of all ages that your little ones can socialize with before, during and even after the class!

✨ Vibe: Larissa is a personal trainer who is a mom of 2 kiddos herself. She’s got the experience of a coach and the experience of a mom - best of both worlds! It was such a pleasure to meet her after connecting through social media. She is energetic, encouraging and surely kicked my booty with her workout (especially those dang burpees lol). Not only do the babes come to workout, they come to socialize after - whether that is a trip to a coffee shop or the park after the workout. I love that we can pack up the kids of all ages, soak up the beautiful weather and socialize all in one shot. Not to mention her playlist was fireeeee - we love a good tune to workout to. Larissa and I share the same goal - create a welcoming mom community, which is probably why our paths crossed and I am oh so thankful!

I'm so glad I found Larissa's Mommy & Me Bootcamp. It was such a fun morning, lots of movement, lots of laughs, and a great reminder that building a community starts by showing up.
