This was easily one of the best experiences in my life.
I would like to thank MY FAMILY @fufustacosandburritos, they showed out with @teamleonpt shirts which had to be one of the coolest things ever, they have always been in my corner, my biggest fans, and amazing support system that I love with all my heart ♥️ each of these trophies 🏆🏆🏆 represent each one of them.

I would especially like to thank the man, the myth, the legend, my Coach @brandon.coop for have guided me through the fire and stood by me in my first prep ever. I stuck by the GRAM & LETTER when it all came down to it, it’s undeniable what we’ve been able to build and accomplish and it’s just the beginning!

The camaraderie between the competitors here and everyone in the bodybuilding community is what makes this sport so special. It’s no wonder I love it so much! The blood, sweat and tears that were shed. The silent nights and the long days in between work and getting to do everything I was so blessed to be able to do, were all well worth it.

I’ve never felt more present than how I was today. Living in the moment like no other; everybody I met on my journey here was like divine intervention. After watching @tori_newman5 compete and win her show! She inspired me to finally go for mine! @elbro_juan being an amazing friend and showing up for my first show ever! Being able to find a place that gave me the opportunity to build my own business @teamleonpt at @fitnessjunkeezgym. I especially would like to thank @prestonbuechler for helping me capture my journey in a way I couldn’t have ever imagined. Thanks to his vision I’ve been able to see myself in a light I never have. Everyone that came into my life added on to it in all the best ways. I will continue to do what I do because this is just the first of many yet to come. To more than just muscles but memories too.

Extremely proud of the physique I’ve developed over the last decade. And that’s all that matters. Always striving for bigger and better. We often compare ourselves to others on social media or on magazines. Comparison is the thief of joy.

Throwback to 405 for a clean ass single. The sound of iron clanking about 😍

This was circa 2019. When I was in the “eat whatever came my way” phase working at the local jailhouse. I didn’t know I was literally #jailhouse strong but im on my way back to having fun lifting heavy ass weights again. I myself, have over complicated training over the last few years. I’m taking a step back. Going back to the basic compounds because it’s what truly built my base and I love lifting heavy shit. Don’t talk about it, be about it, peace and love 🫶🏻

Top set for leg day. WHY smith squats? Stability. I focus on driving my legs and keeping my core engaged.

Barbell squats are amazing. They just require more effort and technique. Some days we do free squats some days I do smith. It’s not complicated.

Eating everything in sight vs more fine tuned eating habits. Some call it bulk vs shred.

Heaviest I’ve been was 253 pounds. I began my fitness journey at a mere 155 pounds back in 2010.

Bodybuilding is not linear. Life is not linear. You will have ups and downs. But if you stay consistent and make wise choices you can avoid some of the lows.

Natty Crew!
Food is the almighty.
Food is steroids for us natty guys. Steak, eggs, clean carbs.

You HAVE to eat to grow. Period.

Eat your weight in grams of protein. Fats can be roughly 25% of calories. And carbs can fill in the rest.
