Capel’s drumming is always a delight!
@futurefixnc brought it!! Whooo! Even when Johnny’s guitar strap screw popped out mid song, he still delivered top-notch showmanship, as always. What a wonderful event for
@somosdurham ❤️🎶🎤

More @personalitycultnc because I said so. Lookie here: they are playing Philly, Lakewood OHIO!, Pittsburgh, Grand Rapids, and then Dirtnap fest thing in Wisconsin.

I know a ton of you live in those cities, so please come out and shimmy shake, buy merch, be awesome.

I spent many years in Philly and Lakewood and whenever my bands would ask, “yall ready to rock?” The answer is always a very loud whoooo hoooooo….so give em whutchooo got, y’all!

It was wonderful to see the community come together last night to support our dear friend Dan McGee, and a real delight to get a chance to catch up with so many of you.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who performed on stage, DJed, provided equipment, helped sell merch, hosted and worked the show, or spread the word, and to everyone who came out to show your support.

Thanks to you we were able to contribute an additional $3205 towards Dan’s recovery expenses this morning. Anyone who would like to make a personal contribution to Dan’s Gofundme directly can do so using the link in our bio.

Personality Cult. Really great to see these pals onstage for the first time in a couple of years, I think. Their excellent third LP “Dilated” came out a couple of months ago on @dirtnap_records & tonight’s benefit show was also the kickoff to a short tour they’re doing with Radioactivity, on their way to the Dirtnap Records 25th anniversary bash in Wisconsin next weekend. So great to see them close the set with the Spider Bags classic, “Papa Was a Shithead”. Get the new record now, if you haven’t already.

Future Fix. The Triangle’s finest purveyors of power pop. Always fun to see these guys play & then hang & talk music. Put April 3rd on your calendar & go see them at the Pinhook (with Mean Habit & American Death Cult).

Future Fix. Shifting slightly east, over to Durham, for the second band of the night. I think these guys have been around about a year, but they are already at the top of the garage/punk/power pop pyramid. A couple of newer, 1 minute-ish songs even gave me Scared of Chaka vibes tonight. Talking to them afterwards, they apparently felt like they were a tad slow tonight. Whatever. Go see them whenever you next have a chance. Recorded output hopefully coming soon.
