The warmth and character in this space are so beautiful.

Texas white stone, Venetian plaster, white oak, and salvaged barn beams come together with antique pieces and natural textures to create a beautifully collected interior.

Austin Ranch is newly built, but its interiors were never intended to feel new. Light and Dwell Interiors approached the 200-acre Texas property with the idea that materials, furniture and finishes should carry a sense of age from the outset.

Texas white stone, Venetian plaster and white oak form the foundation of the palette, but each is treated differently throughout the house. Cabinet fronts remain unfinished, wide-plank floors are lightly stained and salvaged 19th-century barn beams retain their original patina overhead.

That variation gives the one-storey ranch a collected quality, as though its surfaces have evolved gradually rather than arriving perfectly matched.

Antique pieces sit naturally beside contemporary furniture, with simple forms and organic fabrics keeping the rooms relaxed and durable enough for everyday life.

On ArchiPro, homeowners can explore Austin Ranch and discover how Light and Dwell Interiors used material variation, patina and restraint to give a new home a sense of permanence.
