Your 2026 fall bucket list for Mystic, Connecticut 🍂🎃

If Mystic isn’t already on your New England fall road trip, add it immediately. Think cider + donuts, pumpkin farms, haunted shops, waterfront dining, cozy cafés, historic streets and some of the cutest fall views in Connecticut. 🧡

I updated my Mystic guide for fall 2026 with new restaurants + cafés, seasonal favorites, and this year’s fall events — including the Mystic Apple Festival, Scarecrows in the Village, Halloween events + more.

Save this for your fall trip & send it to whoever you’re dragging to Mystic with you 🍎🍁

Let me plan your next fall day in Mystic 💌🍎🍃 here are some of my favorite places for the most perfect day..

Start at @clydescidermill for cider donuts + a little apple cider. This place gets pretty crowded so I like to start the day there to beat the rush, stock up on their apple wine (by the bottle or growler) and various treats! They also have drinks made from their homemade cider and apple wine. They’re so good, so if you’re in the mood to get after it early, it’s an option..I could probably spend an entire day here, so plan plenty of time to explore.

Head into downtown Mystic for coffee @lighthousemystic for a little pick me up (their syrups are homemade) before starting a long walk downtown to explore the shops and seaside beauty. Shopping is a must— I love @rochellesboutiques and @shopriboutiques

End with some oysters and more @oysterclubct. They have an amazing treehouse patio and the food is to die for. The hamburger might have been the GOAT, no joke.

Honestly one of my favorite New England days this time of year — easy, cozy and just enough planned without feeling too planned.

Save this one for your next fall weekend in Connecticut 🤎

@lighthousemystic | Brown Butter Maple Latte | A+: Autumn has hit Mystic, Connecticut early & Lighthouse is a great example of that. I tried their fall menu item, Brown Butter Maple Latte and it was AMAZING. The new barista definitely balanced the syrups and coffee with consistency and it was a sign to a great morning. The richness of the brown butter and the sweetness of the maple were very decadent and a must try. Go check them out while Mystic is in the fall wave! 🍁 🤎 🌊

POV: You enjoy a girls weekend with your best friend and lil sis in one of your favorite Coastie destinations….🥰🤍🌞🌊⛵️⚓️🦞 @ariellemonterey @lovesyddd

Thank you, Mystic for always welcoming me home ✨ Truly one of my fav places to visit in New England and always will be ❤️ Follow my guide below for the best food, daytime activities and all things Coastie while you’re in Mystic! @mysticchamber @mysticct @mysticdrawbridge

Coffee: @lighthousemystic @sift_bake_shop are always the go to’s! Both perfect for a light bite or lunch or sweet treat craving! ☕️🍪🧁

Lunch/Dinner: @haringsnoank @marinermystic and also @abbottslobster ! Didn’t get to Abbott’s this trip but have been before, and can vouch for some amazing lobster ❤️🦞 Don’t forget to check out @seaviewsnackbar for a beautiful view of the Mystic river and the best fried seafood/lobster rolls!

Daytime outings/Shopping/adventures: @shop.at.grace in Niantic! One of my favorite boutiques that I always run back to when I’m in Niantic! 🤍 The cutest coastal fashion!

@oldemistickvillage Don’t forget to check out the cutest shops at the Olde Mistick Village! Warning- some shopping damage can be done here! 😂

If you’re traveling with kids (or not) the @mystic_aquarium is always a fun and well spent afternoon! 🐠

We stayed in Niantic this trip at a charming little 90’s vibe air bnb beach cottage! It was barely a 10 minute walk to the private residential beach, which had maybe 10 or 12 people!

Check out @mysticseaportmuseum to check out all of the beautiful vessels and history of the beautiful river and seaport! I went 2 years ago with my dog and we had the BEST time! Doggos are allowed on the outside grounds 🐶⛵️

If you’re looking for a scenic boat ride, board the @sailawayargia to sail the beautiful Mystic River 🌊

Your trip won’t be complete without pizza from @mystic_pizza_official 🍕 and ice cream from @mysticdrawbridgeicecream 🍦🍦🍦 Then go for a walk over the draw bridge onto Main Street to see all the cute shops like @justmysticbrand !

Hope you guys get to visit Mystic before Summer’s out! Tag me in your outings! 🌞
