A Toddler Review of Frightwater Valley 2026 👻 Would you take your 1 year old to a theme park fright night? 👀

📍 Lightwater Valley, Ripon, North Yorkshire @lightwatervtp

WHAT WE LOVED:
🧟‍♀️ New characters plus all the old favourites
🎢 New rides for braver kids (and adults!)
🎆 An earlier finish, so home by bedtime!

WHAT BABY LOVED:
🎡 New rides unlocked now I can control my head
👻 Scare maze unlocked, particularly liked the severed limb to the face
👣 Lots of space to explore, inside and out
🪩 Cool kids go to the midday disco in Valley Theatre

TOP TIPS:
✨ LWV is a very strollerable park, so save your back and bring the stroller
✨ Plenty of climbing structures for adventurous babies
✨ Jurassic Adventure Golf for anyone who isn't an adrenaline junkie

Thank you again for another brilliant visit! We'll be back again for 2027!

We LOVE a theme park and after visiting Disneyland Paris, Alton Towers, Thorpe Park AND Flamingo Land shortly before baby arrived, we wondered how we were going to scratch that itch when she got here! Enter: Lightwater Valley! 🎡

📍 Lightwater Valley, Ripon @lightwatervtp

This park was an outstanding day out for us back in spooky season 2025. At just £30 for 2 adults (under 90cm go FREE) it included a full day's theme park rides geared towards under 12s, entertainment, mazes, soft play AND a firework show! 😍

PriceS have changed slightly but keep reading for early bird discount code! 👀👇

WHAT WE LOVED:
🎇 Fireworks included if you go on 24th or 31st October
🦢 The park is beautiful with woodland walks and a lake
🧟‍♀️ Characters and staff were absolutely fabulous

WHAT BABY LOVED:
🎵 Music all around the park keeping the vibe alive
🧙‍♀️ Characters adjusted their 'scary' for the younger kids
🥪 Tons of picnic areas (outside and under cover) for ample snacking

Note: the choice of emoji is accurate, baby was just 6 months old and channeling her inner Wednesday 😂

✨ Book now and claim your early bird discount! Use code FRIGHT18 ✨

🎃 Frightwater Valley
📍 @lightwatervtp

A family Halloween event takes over the theme park with theming, movie characters, shows and even spooky scare attractions... We were impressed with the effort put in, and they seem to have nailed the family fun event they have advertised, at a great value!

🎃 FRIGHTWATER VALLEY MOVIE MAYHEM 👻🎬

We took the family, along with our friend Matthew and his boys, to Lightwater Valley for Frightwater Valley Movie Mayhem and what a brilliant day out! 🖤

You know what I love most about this place? It’s the perfect mix of a few jump scares to keep you on your toes, alongside the classic rides and good old-fashioned family fun! 🎢👻

There’s just something about enjoying a bit of Halloween mischief together, having a scream, a laugh and making memories along the way. And the best bit? There’s something for everyone, whether you’re there for the thrills, the frights or just a fun family day out!

If you’re looking for something to do with the family this October, I’d definitely put this one on your list! 🎃

🎟️ Get your tickets booked and prepare for a little Movie Mayhem!
